Transform the everyday with us!
We are looking for Continuous Improvement Focus Factory Manager located in our Pomona, California site
We are seeking an energetic, results-driven Continuous Improvement Manager with a strong engineering foundation to join our plant leadership team. This high-level site role sits directly below the Plant Manager and is designed for an up-and-coming manufacturing leader who has an engineering degree and hands-on technical background, but has not yet held a Plant Manager title.
In this role, you will champion plant-wide operational excellence, leverage Lean Six Sigma methodologies, and eliminate waste across our manufacturing value streams. You will bridge the gap between technical engineering and shop-floor execution—driving yield improvements, process optimization, and a culture of continuous problem-solving without holding director-level or ultimate P&L responsibilities.
You will make a difference by:
- Drive Operational Excellence & Lean Six Sigma: Lead plant-wide Lean Six Sigma initiatives (Kaizen events, 5S, SMED, root cause analysis, value stream mapping) to optimize cycle times, reduce scrap, and improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
- Technical & Engineering Leadership: Partner closely with manufacturing, maintenance, and process engineering teams to resolve complex technical bottlenecks on the factory floor.
- Project Execution: Manage capital and continuous improvement projects from conception to implementation, ensuring rigorous statistical process control and engineering rigor.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work hand-in-hand with production supervisors, value stream managers, and plant leadership to foster a data-driven, safety-first manufacturing culture.
- Mentorship & Training: Train and mentor plant personnel on Lean Six Sigma tools and methodologies (Green Belt / Yellow Belt coaching).
You will win us over by having the following qualifications:
Basic Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Chemical, or related Engineering discipline. (Advanced degree or MBA is a plus).
- Experience: 6 to 10 years of progressive manufacturing experience. Started in a technical engineering role (Process, Industrial, or Project Engineer) and advanced into a operational/engineering leadership or management capacity.
- Track Record: Note: Candidates who have previously held a Plant Manager title will not be considered for this specific growth-oriented role.
- Skills: Deep working knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, root cause problem-solving (A3, 5 Why, Fishbone), statistical analysis software (Minitab, etc.), and shop-floor automation/machinery.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications: Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (LSSBB) or Green Belt (LSSGB)
