Pay: $22.00–$24.00 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Monday–Thursday | 4:00 PM–2:30 AM
Training Schedule: Monday–Thursday | 5:30 AM–4:00 PM for the first 3–6 weeks

Position Overview
PrideStaff Knoxville is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machinist to join a growing manufacturing team! This position involves safely and accurately operating CNC and manual machining equipment to fabricate tubes, rods, and precision components used in hydraulic cylinders.
The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to read technical drawings, and experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their machining skills while working a four-day schedule.
Key Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC and manual machining equipment to manufacture precision components.
Fabricate tubes, rods, and other components according to specifications.
Read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and technical instructions.
Perform basic mathematical calculations to ensure accurate measurements and machining.
Utilize precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, and gauges, to verify product quality.
Inspect finished components to ensure they meet established quality standards.
Perform routine equipment inspections and daily maintenance.
Identify and report equipment issues, defects, or unsafe working conditions.
Select and properly utilize machining tools, equipment, and materials.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in accordance with 5S standards.
Follow all company safety procedures, production guidelines, and supervisor instructions.
Work independently and collaboratively to meet production goals and deadlines.
Qualifications
Required:
High school diploma or GED.
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measurements.
Basic math skills, including fractions and measurements.
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to complete 3–6 weeks of first-shift training before transitioning to second shift.
Preferred:
Previous CNC or manual machining experience.
Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment.
CNC programming knowledge or experience.
Familiarity with precision measuring instruments and quality control procedures.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Perform repetitive movements involving hands, arms, and wrists.
Lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
Work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, machinery noise, fumes, and airborne particles.
Walk throughout a large production facility as needed.
Availability for overtime and weekend work based on production demands.
