About this role
We are partnering with an established hardware and electronics manufacturer in the local area to hire a full-time, non-exempt Electronics Assembly & Test Technician . This hands-on role is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with a foundation in electronics to sharpen their skills under the direct mentorship of senior technical and production leadership.
In this role, you will be involved in the full lifecycle of product completion—spanning from structural component assembly to advanced microchip programming and final quality assurance testing. If you enjoy troubleshooting circuitry, working with benchtop test equipment, and seeing a high-quality product come together, this is your next step.
What Your Day Looks Like:
System Testing & Calibration (30%): Test analog and digital circuitry, calibrate specialized electronic modules, and troubleshoot components to ensure total compliance.
IC Programming (25%): Program integrated circuits (ICs) and configure microchips using automated computer software interfaces.
Precision Assembly (40%): Perform general structural and final assembly, including building product housing units, tops, and boxes using manual hand tools.
Quality Assurance (5%): Conduct specialized hi-pot (high-potential voltage) testing and visually inspect printed circuit boards (PCBs) to verify absolute product integrity.
What You Bring to the Bench:
Technical Foundation: A solid, fundamental understanding of analog and digital circuitry.
Equipment Literacy: Experience utilizing diagnostic tools like digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, and basic hand tools (like micrometers).
Hands-on Skills: Foundational soldering skills and the manual dexterity required to manipulate electronic components accurately.
Procedure Driven: A strong aptitude for learning, retaining, and executing highly detailed, multi-step technical procedures.
Core Values: A professional work ethic rooted in honesty, integrity, mutual respect, and dedication to quality.
The Working Environment & Details:
Schedule: Steady, reliable full-time hours (Monday–Friday daytime shift).
Safety & Environment: Clean, indoor technical lab setting requiring standard light safety precautions (such as safety glasses and lab coats).
Physical Layout: Requires the ability to remain stationary at a test bench routinely, with occasional lifting or transporting of component packages weighing up to 10 lbs or more.
Travel: 100% facility-based; no travel required.
Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $20.00
