About this role
This position is located at our STV East Clinic.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Under minimal supervision, the Patient Financial Coordinator is responsible for managing accounts in collaboration with the Patient Financial Counselors as required.
- Ensures all insurance, demographics, and patient assistance programs are obtained and entered into the system in an accurate manner.
- Submit claims and payment requests in a timely manner, ensuring all required documentation is accurate, complete, and noted in required systems.
- Follow up on pending assistance applications, claims, and payments.
- Knowledge of patient assistance program requirements.
- Demonstrates an understanding for patient confidentiality to protect the patient and the clinic/corporation.
- Follows policies and procedures to contribute to the efficiency of the practice.
Additional Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to read, understand, and follow oral and written instructions.
- Ability to sort and files materials correctly by alphabetic and numeric systems.
- General knowledge of medical terminology.
