About this role
ABOUT AARKE
Aarke is a Swedish design company redefining everyday kitchen appliances through premium materials, engineering, and timeless design. Founded in 2013, we are on a mission to re(de)fine the home appliances industry — combining Scandinavian design, exceptional quality, and top-tier materials in a category often overlooked by the design community.
Our flagship product, the Aarke Carbonator, has earned a devoted global following with customers in more than 30 countries. As we continue to scale internationally and expand into new product categories, we are looking for sharp, hands-on people to grow with us.
THE POSITION
As Junior Financial Accountant at Aarke, you join our accounting team and take on the day-to-day bookkeeping – reconciliations, invoices, payments and accruals – while helping us sharpen our processes along the way. The role is part-time and suits a student with one to two years left to graduation who wants hands-on accounting experience alongside their studies. You work closely with the finance team in a company growing across markets. You are structured, accurate and take responsibility for your tasks.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping, including account reconciliations, invoice processing, bank payments, accruals and expense handling.
- Together with the finance team, develop and improve financial processes, routines and internal controls within the company.
- Handle accounts payable and ensure efficient payment processes.
- Optimize and develop accounting processes for greater efficiency.
- Perform ad hoc tasks and other duties within finance and accounting.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- Ongoing university or vocational studies (YH) in accounting or finance, with one to two years left to graduation.
- At least 1 year of accounting experience.
- Experience with accounting systems and tools; Business Central (BC) is a plus.
- Strong Excel skills.
WHY AARKE
At Aarke you get to work with consumer products that people genuinely love — and play a central role in shaping what those products look like, how they perform, and how they reach the market globally. We are a small, hands-on team where your work has real impact and visibility.
We offer a collaborative environment, strong learning opportunities, and the chance to grow within a fast-scaling international company. Our headquarters is in central Stockholm, Vasastan.
