About Us

Innovapptive is a category-defining SaaS company building the world’s most advanced AI-powered Connected Worker Platform for the industrial sector. Headquartered in Houston, TX, and backed by Vista Equity Partners , Innovapptive is on a mission to reimagine how industrial work gets done — connecting frontline workers, back-office systems, and assets in real time to drive higher safety, reliability, and productivity.

Our platform is trusted by some of the world’s largest enterprises — including Shell, Hess, Cenovus Energy, W.R.Grace, Westlake Chemicals, UNICEF, Kimberly Clark, Scott Miracle Gro, and Newmont Mining to name a few, and across chemicals, energy, mining, and manufacturing industries. These enterprises have achieved tangible, hard-dollar results, such as:

- Over $40 million in annual EBITDA savings at a single enterprise.
- 10× frontline productivity improvements through mobile-first and AI-enabled workflows.
- 15–20% maintenance cost reductions and significant uptime gains across plants and sites.

Innovapptive is recognized by leading industry analysts for its differentiated value creation model:

- Named a Leader in the Frost & Sullivan Industrial Connected Worker Radar.
- Featured by Gartner in “Connected Factory Worker” research and the Hype Cycle for Manufacturing Operations Strategy.
- Cited by LNS Research for delivering 3–5× greater value than point solutions through unified OT–IT execution, AI/vision innovation, and field-proven ROI.

Our growth is backed by Tiger Global Management and Vista Equity Partners , one of the world’s premier software investors, known for scaling high-performance SaaS companies. Together, we are building the next-generation AI Powered Connected Worker Platform, combining cutting-edge technologies — SLM’s, Generative AI, Computer Vision, and Intelligent Orchestration — into a unified system that transforms plant operations globally.

Today, with over 300+ employees across the U.S., India, and ANZ , Innovapptive stands at a pivotal inflection point: with an ambition to scale to $100M ARR within the next 3-4 years by industrializing every aspect of our product, engineering, and customer delivery systems.

The Role

A frontline technician does not get a second chance when an app fails in the middle of a shift. A work order that does not sync, a permit that does not save, an inspection that loses data: each one costs a customer time, trust, or safety. As a SDET II , you are the person who makes sure that does not happen.

This is not a "find bugs at the end" role. You will own the quality of a product area end to end: shaping it before a line of code is written, proving it with automation as it is built, and certifying it before it reaches a customer. You will test across Mobile (Android/iOS), Web, and APIs, validate real SAP and IBM Maximo workflows, and help us move from manual regression to a fast, automated, release-gating quality system.

You will work side by side with Engineering, Product, and DevOps, and you will raise the bar for the QA engineers around you.

How You Will Make An Impact

- Design and own the test strategy, test plans, and risk-based coverage for your product area across Mobile (Android/iOS), Web, and API.
- Build and extend automation frameworks and suites using Appium, Selenium, Playwright/Cypress, and API test tooling (Postman, REST Assured, or Node.js-based frameworks), written as production-quality code.
- Integrate automated suites into CI/CD (Jenkins, GitLab CI) with parallel execution, reliable reporting, and clear pass/fail gates.
- Perform deep functional, integration, exploratory, and regression testing, including REST and OData API validation, data integrity, and offline/sync scenarios.
- Validate SAP PM / MM and IBM Maximo workflows end to end where applicable.
- Contribute to performance, security, and accessibility testing (JMeter or Gatling, SAST/DAST awareness) in partnership with Engineering and DevOps.
- Manage test cases, runs, and reporting in TestRail, with defect tracking and metrics in Jira that leadership can act on.
- Mentor QA Engineers: review test designs and automation code, share best practices, and help grow the next generation of QA leads.
- Explore AI-assisted testing (test generation, intelligent triage, self-healing automation) and bring the ideas that work into our pipelines.
- Partner with Product Managers, Product Owners, developers, and Support to turn customer issues into better tests and better products.

What You Bring to the Team:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 4–6 years of experience in QA / quality engineering for SaaS or product companies, with a track record of owning quality for major releases.
- Strong hands-on experience testing mobile applications (Android and iOS) and web applications .
- Strong API testing skills: REST (and ideally OData) validation with Postman or code-based frameworks.
- Proven test automation experience with Appium, Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or equivalent, in Java, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript. You write maintainable code, not just scripts.
-   Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar).
- Solid grounding in test design, risk-based testing, the defect lifecycle, and quality metrics (coverage, defect leakage, cycle time).
- Experience in an Agile/Scrum environment, and comfort being the quality voice in the room.
- Excellent communication. You can explain a risk clearly to an engineer, a product manager, or a customer, and you give feedback that makes others better.
- Good to have: SAP PM or SAP MM and IBM Maximo familiarity; cloud device farms (BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, AWS Device Farm); performance testing (JMeter, Gatling); AWS, Docker, or Kubernetes exposure; TestRail, Allure, or Sentry; exposure to AI/LLM-based testing; ISTQB or automation certifications.

If you meet most of this and want to own quality for products that frontline workers rely on, we encourage you to apply. We hire for ownership and curiosity.

You Will Be Measured On

-   Escaped defects go down, release over release. You will own the quality outcome for your product area and drive a measurable year-on-year reduction in production-escaped defects.
- Regression is automated, not manual. You will take your area's regression from manual-heavy to automated and trusted, and track automation coverage, flake rate, and cycle time as your own numbers.
- Every release carries a clear quality signal. You will help build and run on-demand test certification that gates releases, so go/no-go decisions are made on evidence rather than opinion.
- Quality is built in early. You will join story refinement and design discussions, challenge requirements, and define acceptance and risk-based test strategy before development starts.
- Defects are found early and fixed for good. You will lead root-cause analysis on escapes, and make sure the fix covers the class of problem, not just the single ticket.
- Customers feel the difference. You will validate end-to-end flows against real customer scenarios, including SAP PM/MM and IBM Maximo integrations, offline behavior, sync, and performance on field devices.

Innovapptive does not accept and will not review unsolicited resumes from search firms.
