Prudential’s purpose is to be partners for every life and protectors for every future. Our purpose encourages everything we do by creating a culture in which diversity is celebrated and inclusion assured, for our people, customers, and partners. We provide a platform for our people to do their best work and make an impact to the business, and we support our people’s career ambitions. We pledge to make Prudential a place where you can Connect, Grow, and Succeed.

Prudential’s purpose is to be partners for every life and protectors for every future. Our Health business has set out an ambitious vision to give peace of mind to every patient in Asia and Africa, serving millions more health customers over the coming years.

A core priority is to diversify and grow health distribution by scaling Bancassurance and alternative channels as meaningful sources of health growth. The Director, Health Distribution Strategy will lead this agenda: partnering with Group and local-market Bancassurance teams to embed and grow health selling within our bank partners, building the sales support and enablement tools that make health easy for bank sellers to position, and ensuring distribution is designed into products from the very start of the product journey — not bolted on near launch.

Role and Responsibilities

- Bancassurance health growth: Lead and partner with Group and local-market Bancassurance teams to increase health penetration within bank partners, converting enablement activity into measurable new business growth across priority markets.

- Sales support & enablement tools: Build a suite of sales support and enablement tools — pitch materials, sales concepts, certifications and digital assets — that lift bank-seller confidence, and identify and close before- and after-sales gaps across sale, claim and service.

- Distribution-led product design: Work with Group Health product and local product teams to bring bank partner and distribution needs to the beginning of the product journey rather than near launch — embedding channel needs, bank suitability and go-to-market realities into proposition design from the outset.

- Bank partner activation: Support named, market-by-market activation plans — aligning incentives and sales models, upskilling insurance specialists and advisers, and shaping propositions and after-sales servicing that make health a partnership advantage rather than a servicing burden.

- Alternative channel expansion: Explore and scale other alternative routes — direct-to-consumer, digital partnerships and brokers — applying a test-and-learn approach to identify credible, economically viable channels for health.

- Performance & insight: Establish KPIs and dashboards to track health sales performance by bank partner and market, using data to identify gaps, opportunities and best practices to replicate across markets.

- Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with Group and local Distribution, Customer & Marketing, Pricing, and market teams to ensure alignment between product design, distribution and market execution.

Job Requirements

- 15+ years in insurance / financial-services distribution, with a strong background in bancassurance; experience in other channels such as direct-to-consumer, digital and brokers is welcomed and valued.

- Commercial acumen with a strong understanding of life & health financials and channel economics.

- Proven track record scaling a distribution channel and building sales enablement capability across diverse markets.

- Strong cultural awareness and understanding of the Asia market landscape, and the ability to operate effectively across its diverse markets.

- Strong influencing and stakeholder-management skills, able to drive alignment across Group and local business units without direct authority.

- Strategic thinker who is also hands-on, comfortable turning strategy into practical, market-ready tools and results.
