About this role

About Us

Chimera Entertainment is an independent game studio in the heart of Munich.
Since 2006, gameplay, creativity, and teamwork have been at the core of everything we do.
We've published over 25 titles, including the award-winning Angry Birds Epic and Angry Birds Evolution. We build our own IPs, like our latest release Songs of Silence , and we take on work-for-hire projects from first concept to launch, on PC, mobile, and cross-platform. Today we're one of Germany's leading game studios: a small, international team of 25 people who love what we do.

To strengthen our development team in Cebu /Philippines, we are looking for a 3D Animator with a strong sense for timing and weight, a real love for games, and the drive to bring characters to life, from the first keyframe to the final polish in-engine.

Your role:

You join our team in Cebu and work closely with the artists, designers, and programmers in Munich. You create character animations for gameplay, interactions, and cinematics across Chimera’s games, and you take them all the way into the engine to implement, test, and refine them. Depending on the project, you animate humans, creatures or stylized characters.

You have strong animation fundamentals and care about how characters feel in play, not only how they look. You handle rigging, skinning, and retargeting yourself, adapt quickly when project needs change, and help us keep improving our animation pipeline.

Role Overview

Your responsibilities will include:

Create high-quality 3D character animations for a variety of game projects, including gameplay, interactions and cinematics. Develop expressive and believable animations using keyframe animation and, where applicable, motion capture data. Adapt animations to different gameplay requirements, visual styles and technical constraints. Implement, test and refine animations directly in the game engine. Create and adjust character rigs, perform skinning and retarget animations for different characters and skeletons. Work closely with artists, game designers and programmers to ensure animations support both visual quality and gameplay. Contribute to efficient animation workflows and continuously improve our animation pipeline.
