Flagship Pioneering Co-Op Program

Welcome to the Flagship Pioneering Co-Op Program for the cohort dreaming big and taking courageous leaps. You’ll join fellow peers across our ecosystem of companies and learn firsthand how we build first-in-category companies. You’ll have access to enrichment sessions , a dedicated professional development track , and a mentor that help guide you toward your next step. By the end, you will carry on a meaningful project outcome , a genuine network , and a front-row view of how Flagship pioneers new ventures that change the world.

We're Looking For:

- Highly motivated and enthusiastic co-op students eager to dive into groundbreaking research.

- Individuals with a background in molecular biology and cell culture with a desire to master novel techniques.

What You'll Do:

- Conduct immunological assays to assess immune responses elicited by vaccines, using techniques including ELISA, bioluminescent reporter assays, and virus neutralization assays.

- Contribute to the development and optimization of novel assays for antigen characterization and vaccine performance evaluation.

- Utilize molecular and cell biology methods, such as PCR, NGS, and flow cytometry, to build and screen lenti- and cell-based libraries in multiplexed neutralization assays

Qualifications:

- Pursuing a BS or MS in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, or related field

- Experience with molecular biology techniques, including DNA/RNA extraction and PCR

- Experience with cell culture and aseptic technique

- Experience with virology and viral biosafety (BSL-2)

- Strong organizational and communication skills
