About this role
Ensures the temple ordinances are kept pure, recorded accurately and made available to worthy Church members by:
- Providing an environment where patrons may have a positive and uplifting experience each time they come to the temple.
- Maintaining and operating temples at standards established by the First Presidency.
Provides security coverage for the protection of temple property from fire, theft, vandalism, trespassing, and illegal entry; renders appropriate first aid response in medical situations occurring on church property; renders security-related assistance to employees, visitors, tourists; makes on-the-spot decisions for necessary response. This position acts as a lead worker, as needed.
At least two years of full-time security work experience. Successful completion of prescribed security training and certification test within 90 day period (CPR, First Aide, Basic Security Procedures, etc.), and re-certification each year thereafter. 2 years of post high school education or equivalent security training preferred. (Additional security related schooling and experience helpful.) Demonstrated leadership ability in previous employment. Has no prior police record, or affiliation with anti-government or anti-Church groups. Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
