About this role
The Core team builds the technical foundation behind Google's flagship products, acting as owners and advocates for the essential building blocks - developer platforms, infrastructure, and product components that drive the pace of innovation for every Google developer.
Core AI Foundations organization’s mission is to accelerate and scale Google’s ability to deliver products in the AI era. By unifying scale with relentless innovation, AI Foundations organization is charted to ensure our systems are faster, safer, reliable and efficient. It aims to deliver at the edge of what is possible, meeting today’s demands while engineering the foundations for tomorrow.
The AI era is fundamentally shifting how software is conceived, authored, and operated. As Fellow for Agentic Development, you will serve as the technical authority guiding the evolution of next-generation developer workflows and autonomous engineering systems across Google.
Reporting directly to the General Manager of Core AI Foundations, this role anchors the technical strategy bridging Google’s internal infrastructure with our external enterprise ecosystem (e.g. Google Cloud). You will define how foundation models, autonomous agents, and deterministic tooling converge to eliminate friction in end-to-end developer journeys—redefining developer velocity, system reliability, and software intelligence at global scale.
The Core team builds the technical foundation behind Google’s flagship products. We are owners and advocates for the underlying design elements, developer platforms, product components, and infrastructure at Google. These are the essential building blocks for excellent, safe, and coherent experiences for our users and drive the pace of innovation for every developer. We look across Google’s products to build central solutions, break down technical barriers and strengthen existing systems. As the Core team, we have a mandate and a unique opportunity to impact important technical decisions across the company.
