About this role
The Grace Beginnings Academy Infant Assistant Teacher is passionate about caring for young learners in a Christ-centered environment. The ideal candidate works collaboratively with the lead teacher, and helps support each childs growth in their physical, social-emotional, cognitive, and spiritual development. This role assists in implementing lessons and activities that are Christ-centered and rooted in play and exploration.
- Support the educational experiences in the classroom as directed by the classroom teacher.
- Assist in the completion of documenting daily activities, and incident/behavior reports as directed by the classroom teacher.
- Effectively communicate and collaborate with the classroom teacher to support daily routines, classroom management, and the overall learning environment.
- Assist the classroom teacher in maintaining a safe, clean, organized classroom and assume the responsibility to complete the duties required to maintain an orderly facility.
- Assist in prepping learning materials as directed by the classroom teacher.
- Approach behavioral issues that arise with children with Christ-centered love, respect and patience.
- At drop off or pick up foster positive relationships with parents.
- Facilitate the classroom routines and activities when the classroom teacher is absent.
- Attend all required training and staff meetings throughout the year.
- Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance is an essential requirement of this position.
- Maintains licensing compliance.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Educational requirements: High School Diploma required
- Experience required: Must meet licensing requirements for an assistant
- Has a commitment to prayer, as evidenced in both corporate and personal prayer.
- Exhibits a meaningful and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as evidenced by the manifestation of the fruit of the Holy Spirit.
- Exhibits a lifestyle appropriate to a person in public Christian ministry by conducting life with the utmost integrity in all situations.
