Lead important technology delivery. Strengthen security and resilience. Help shape the future of a growing government agency.
The Social Investment Agency (SIA) is looking for an experienced Delivery Lead to help deliver two important initiatives: strengthening our technology security foundations and progressing a new approach to data sharing.
This is an opportunity to lead and coordinate complex technology delivery, working closely with senior leaders, technical specialists and external partners.
You'll join us at an important stage of our development, as we strengthen and scale the technology and data systems that support better social investment decisions for New Zealanders
About the role | Mō te tūnga
As our Delivery Lead, you'll bring structure, clarity and momentum to two priority areas of work.
Our Security Uplift Project focuses on strengthening cybersecurity, resilience and governance across our growing technology environment, including identity management, security monitoring, observability and endpoint protection.
Our Data Intermediary Project is exploring more scalable ways for service providers to contribute information to the Integrated Data Infrastructure (IDI). This includes exploring how trusted third parties could support data submissions, subject to appropriate consent, privacy and governance arrangements.
You'll support delivery of the security uplift work and develop a detailed delivery plan for the data intermediary project, helping progress implementation as the work develops.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and maintaining delivery plans, milestones and dependencies across key workstreams.
- Coordinating internal teams and external vendors to keep projects moving.
- Identifying risks, resolving delivery barriers and escalating issues when needed.
- Coordinating governance meetings and providing clear, meaningful reporting to senior leaders.
- Building effective relationships across technology, risk and assurance, procurement and external partners.
- Supporting and mentoring colleagues while introducing practical delivery processes and tools.
You'll have the opportunity to strengthen how delivery is managed across SIA, balancing immediate priorities with improvements that support our longer-term capability.

- Lead complex technology, cybersecurity or data-related delivery in changing environments.
- Establish effective governance, reporting and delivery practices.
- Manage competing priorities, timelines, risks and dependencies across multiple workstreams.
