About the role | Mō te tūranga mahi
As an Injury Prevention Leader in our Treatment Safety team, you will provide delivery leadership and expertise to help reduce preventable treatment-related harm across Aotearoa New Zealand.
You will lead the planning and delivery of ACC’s Treatment Safety priorities, bringing together treatment injury data, clinical evidence, research, lived experience and system intelligence to identify risks and turn learning into practical prevention action.
Working across ACC and with sector partners, you will build shared understanding, shape solutions and commission evidence-informed prevention initiatives that deliver measurable, equitable system improvement.

The appointing salary for this role is $117,787 - $152,430 based on experience. ACC offers a comprehensive benefits package which includes an advantageous superannuation scheme (9% contribution) with features like no mandatory employee contribution, optional life and income protection insurance.
About you | Mōu
You will bring:
- Significant experience leading the delivery of complex programmes, portfolios or system-change initiatives and coordinating multidisciplinary expertise through ambiguity and change.
- Strong health systems knowledge and systems thinking capability, including an understanding of clinical quality, patient safety, system learning and the levers that support change across complex health and disability settings.
- Experience using data, research, evaluation, clinical evidence and system intelligence to inform decision-making and prioritisation.
- Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships and influence coordinated action across ACC, government, health agencies, providers, iwi/Māori, communities and other system partners.
- Demonstrated experience giving effect to Te Tiriti o Waitangi through partnership, enabling Māori participation and influence in the design and delivery of work, and identifying and addressing inequities to improve outcomes for Māori and other priority communities.
- Experience operating within governance, risk, investment and performance reporting frameworks, including benefits realisation
- Excellent communication, collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience developing strategic roadmaps and leading adaptive delivery approaches to respond to learning and changing system needs.
- You must hold New Zealand work rights at the time of application.
