Seattle MINI is part of Scharmach Automotive Group, alongside BMW Northwest and Tacoma MINI. We're looking for a technician who wants to grow with the MINI brand, get factory training, and work in a shop that values clean, documented, high-quality work.
Pay range is $50,000 to $190,000/yr
What You'll Do
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical concerns on MINI vehicles using factory diagnostic tools and software.
- Perform maintenance such as oil services, brakes, tire rotations, and fluid services.
- Repair or replace major components, including engines, transmissions, and suspension, to MINI/BMW Group specifications.
- Record video multipoint inspections following our department process.
- Document all work clearly, including diagnostic findings, repairs completed, and parts used.
- Communicate with service advisors about findings, repair timelines, and costs.
- Follow all safety and environmental standards.
- Keep current on MINI factory training and certifications.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical school training or ASE certification preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in automotive repair and maintenance.
- Proficient with automotive diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical vehicle systems.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Valid Washington State drivers license and a clean driving record.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
