Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Solar Electricians for projects located in or around Portland, OR. This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is up to $60/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:
- Install, connect, and maintain solar photovoltaic (PV) systems
- Install solar panels, inverters, batteries, and associated electrical components
- Read and interpret solar installation plans, electrical schematics, and manufacturer specifications
- Run electrical wiring, install conduit, and perform electrical terminations
- Ensure all installations comply with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local electrical codes
- Inspect, test, and commission solar PV systems to ensure proper operation
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair existing solar electrical systems
- Perform electrical connections between solar arrays, inverters, batteries, and distribution equipment
- Follow OSHA regulations and all jobsite safety procedures
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Work effectively with other trades to complete projects safely and efficiently
Requirements:
- Previous experience installing and servicing solar photovoltaic (PV) systems
- Valid Oregon electrical license appropriate for the work being performed
- Strong knowledge of solar electrical systems, inverters, batteries, and associated components
- Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and installation drawings
- Experience with electrical wiring, conduit installation, and terminations
- Knowledge of NEC requirements and applicable electrical safety standards
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose solar electrical systems
- Comfortable working outdoors and at heights as required
- Strong commitment to safety, quality, and productivity
- Reliable, dependable, and able to work independently or as part of a team
