About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced insurance professional to join ANZ's Non-Financial Risk Frameworks & Capital team.
Reporting to the Head of NFR Frameworks & Capital, you will play a key role in managing ANZ's corporate insurance program and providing specialist advice on insurance risk transfer, insurance governance and claims management. Working closely with Risk, Finance, Legal and business stakeholders, you will support the design, placement and ongoing management of insurance arrangements that protect ANZ against current and emerging insurable risks.
The role sits within the broader NFR Frameworks & Capital team, creating a stronger connection between operational risk management, risk transfer decisions, scenario analysis and capital considerations.

What will your day look like?
Your key accountabilities in this role will include:
- Manage the day-to-day delivery of ANZ's Group Insurance Program.
- Lead annual insurance renewals, policy placements and insurer negotiations.
- Coordinate management of significant insurance claims and recovery activities.
- Provide insurance advice and guidance relating to business initiatives, contractual arrangements, emerging risks and change programs.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with brokers, insurers and internal stakeholders.
- Support operational risk scenario analysis and assessment of risk transfer opportunities.
- Contribute to governance, reporting and continuous improvement activities across the insurance portfolio.
- Support integration of insurance considerations into the broader Non-Financial Risk Framework and Capital management activities.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring:
- Extensive experience managing complex corporate insurance programs.
- Deep understanding of financial lines, property, liability and cyber insurance.
- Strong experience managing insurer, broker and stakeholder relationships.
- Demonstrated experience in insurance claims management and recovery activities.
- Strong commercial judgement and risk management capability.
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders and provide pragmatic advice across a complex organisation.
- Experience within financial services or other large regulated organisations highly regarded.
- Tertiary qualifications in business, finance, risk, insurance or a related discipline preferred.
