About this role

Education Lead – Multi-Agency Child Protection Team (MACPT) | 11511 | Secondment Opportunity / Temporary Contract up to 12 months | 37 hours per week | £45,268 to £49,818 per annum | Grade K | County Hall, Norwich

As part of the Families First Partnership Programme, Norfolk is developing a new Multi-agency Child Protection Team (MACPT), bringing together professionals from Children's Social Care, Health, Police and Education to strengthen child protection practice. Norwich and South Norfolk will be the initial test area for this innovative approach before wider implementation.

We are seeking an Education Lead to provide specialist education expertise within the MACPT, helping to improve outcomes for children by addressing barriers to education and strengthening multi-agency safeguarding practice. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside colleagues from social care, health and policing while contributing to the development of a new integrated service.

Using a test-and-learn approach, you will help shape how the service operates, contributing to discussions around roles and responsibilities, governance, information sharing, capacity, and day-to-day multi-agency working. The role will work closely with the Education Safeguarding Team and use feedback from practitioners, partners, children and families to inform future service development

This opportunity is available as a fixed-term contract or secondment for up to one year.

We are looking for someone who:

- Has substantial experience working in the education sector within a safeguarding role.
- Understands child protection processes and has extensive experience of multi-agency working.
- Can build strong relationships and influence professionals across agencies.
- Has excellent analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
