About this role

Intuit is the global financial technology platform that powers prosperity for the people and communities we serve. Approximately 100 million consumers, small and mid-market businesses, and accountants around the world use Intuit products including TurboTax, Credit Karma, QuickBooks, Mailchimp, and Intuit Enterprise Suite.

Our mission is to power prosperity around the world. By bringing together the power of AI and human intelligence, we help our customers put more money in their pockets, save time by eliminating work, and have greater confidence in the financial decisions they make.

Intuit's Global Corporate Affairs and Public Policy team brings the voice of our customers to policymakers and works to shape public policy environments that enable our customers to prosper.

Intuit is seeking exceptional Senior Policy Managers to lead public policy strategy on issues critical to Intuit's customers and business, spanning:

- AI, data, and technology policy — shaping the environment for free, frictionless, compliant data use and responsible AI deployment that powers increasingly personalized, Done-for-You customer and expert experiences.
- Money and financial services policy — advancing the policy conditions that let Intuit help customers access capital, manage money, and build financial confidence.
- Small and mid-market business policy — championing the policy changes that help entrepreneurs and growing businesses start, succeed, and scale.

Across all of these areas, we are looking for strategic thinkers and highly effective advocates who can anticipate the direction of public policy, develop compelling policy positions, and build and execute strategies that shape legislative and regulatory outcomes.

The successful candidate will serve as a policy adviser to senior leaders across Intuit and as a credible, authoritative external voice for the company, advocating directly with policymakers and regulators and leveraging trade associations, coalitions, think tanks, and civil society to advance Intuit's priorities.

Responsibilities

- Serve as Intuit's leading public policy expert in your issue area — connecting it to relevant Intuit strategic big bets.
- Develop and execute a proactive public policy strategy aligned with Intuit's business and customer priorities.
- Anticipate legislative and regulatory developments and identify emerging policy opportunities and risks.
- Move beyond monitoring policy developments to actively shape legislative and regulatory outcomes through sophisticated strategies.
- Build trusted relationships with policymakers, regulators, and their staff across Congress, the Administration, federal agencies, and other relevant institutions.
- Drive Intuit's agenda through trade associations and industry bodies, taking an active leadership role in developing collective positions.
- Build coalitions with industry peers, customer and business organizations, think tanks, academics, civil society, and other stakeholders.
- Establish Intuit as a credible, constructive thought leader, representing the company at conferences, policy forums, roundtables, and other external engagements.
- Serve as a trusted strategic adviser to senior business, Product, and Technology leaders, translating complex policy developments into clear business implications and recommendations.
- Partner closely with Legal, Privacy, Data, AI, Product, Engineering, Security, Compliance, and Corporate Affairs teams to develop durable policy positions.
- Translate complex technical, economic, or policy concepts into clear, persuasive arguments for both policymakers and internal stakeholders.
- Help develop and execute Intuit's global policy strategy in your issue area, connecting U.S. developments with emerging frameworks in other strategically important markets.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the Global Public Policy team, recognizing that policy issues increasingly intersect across Intuit's strategic priorities.

Qualifications

- Experience in government, Congress, a regulatory agency, technology company, trade association, think tank, or another relevant public policy environment.
- Deep subject-matter expertise in one or more of: AI governance, privacy and data protection, emerging technology policy, money and financial services policy, or small/mid-market business policy — together with a strong understanding of the broader policy landscape.
- A demonstrated record of shaping policy outcomes through direct government advocacy, trade associations, coalitions, and third-party engagement.
- Ability to develop proactive policy strategies that connect external legislative and regulatory developments with business and product strategy.
- Strong political and strategic judgment, with an understanding of the interaction between policy, customer trust, business strategy, and corporate reputation.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, able to make technically and complex issues clear and persuasive to senior policymakers and business leaders.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving technology company, navigate ambiguity, and build strong partnerships across multiple functions and business units.
- A highly collaborative mindset and willingness to work across policy portfolios and geographies as part of a small, high-performing Global Public Policy team.

What Success Looks Like

- Success means Intuit is not simply prepared for policy change in your area — Intuit is helping shape it. The successful candidate will ensure that:

- Intuit is a strong, credible voice in trade associations and coalitions shaping relevant policy debates.
- Senior leaders have an early and sophisticated understanding of emerging policy opportunities and risks.
