This program allows selected candidates to work at Beloit Clinic while attending school to become a Medical Assistant , with educational support that removes the financial stress of paying for school. The program is open to both internal and external applicants .
What You'll Do
As a Student Medical Assistant, you will gain valuable hands-on experience while learning alongside an experienced healthcare team. Under the direction of the Director of Clinic Nursing, responsibilities include:
- Assisting with patient care activities under the supervision of Medical Assistants and Nurses
- Participating in clinic meetings and skills training sessions
- Working closely with an assigned preceptor to complete required competencies
- Successfully completing all training and educational requirements
- Maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations
- Responding to and participating in call alerts
- Performing other duties as assigned
Job/Program Requirements
To be considered, applicants must:
- High School Graduate or equivalent.
- If selected, will be accountable to all Beloit Health System policies and guidelines.
- If selected, the Student Medical Assistant must apply for and be accepted into the Medical Assistant program of participating partner school.
- Applicants must be received by 10/31/2026 for consideration. Late applicants will not be considered.
- Courses and position to start in January 2027.
