About OpenText

OpenText is a global information management company that helps organizations securely manage, protect, and use information across cloud and on-premises environments. OpenText is seeking an exceptional Lead Solutions Consultant to support its Cybersecurity and Application Security business in Korea. This role requires candidates who are willing and able to travel as needed.

Purpose of Position
Drive incremental revenue by working with clients and prospects to understand software security, DevSecOps, open-source governance, and supply chain risk challenges. The Lead Solutions Consultant will translate those challenges into differentiated OpenText Application Security solutions, lead technical discovery and solution architecture, build customized demonstrations, and deliver business and technology presentations to technical, management-level, and executive audiences.
The role will provide technical leadership across Static Application Security Testing (SAST), Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST), Software Composition Analysis (SCA), AI-assisted vulnerability analysis, Software Bill of Materials (SBOM), and secure software supply chain use cases. It will also work closely with sales, partners, services, product teams, and clients to expand adoption within existing accounts and develop new opportunities in enterprise, financial services, and public-sector markets.

Primary Duties
•Work closely with Client Executives and Sales Solution Executives to support pre-sales activities through business and technical discovery, solution recommendations, competitive positioning, and configuration guidance.
•Lead client discussions on application security strategy, secure software development, DevSecOps operating models, software supply chain risk, SBOM management, and regulatory or compliance requirements.
•Create and present customized, solution-oriented demonstrations of OpenText Application Security capabilities, including Fortify SAST, WebInspect DAST, Fortify Aviator, and SCA offerings such as Sonatype and Debricked.
•Plan and lead proofs of concept and technical evaluations, including use-case definition, requirements validation, environment and integration planning, success criteria, solution configuration, test execution, issue resolution, and executive-level outcome presentations.
•Design and position application security architectures that integrate with source-code repositories, build pipelines, CI/CD platforms, issue-tracking systems, API environments, containers, cloud platforms, and enterprise development processes.
•Explain and demonstrate AI-assisted vulnerability analysis, false-positive reduction, remediation guidance, automated reporting, and developer productivity benefits in a credible and outcome-oriented manner.
•Advise clients on SCA and software supply chain security, including open-source vulnerability and license risk, repository governance, Repository Firewall use cases, and SBOM standards such as CycloneDX and SPDX.
•Research and respond to technical inquiries from clients and prospects, including RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, security questionnaires, architecture reviews, and procurement requirements.
•Position flexible SaaS and on-premises deployment models based on client security, data, operational, and procurement requirements.
•Provide competitive differentiation against global, local, and open-source alternatives and articulate OpenText value based on technical capability, AI differentiation, platform integration, risk reduction, and business outcomes.
•Collaborate with Professional Services, Product Management, Engineering, Technical Support, Marketing, Channel teams, and partners to develop and deliver complete client solutions.
•Enable and support local partners through technical workshops, demonstrations, joint client engagements, knowledge transfer, and repeatable solution assets.
•Build trusted relationships with security leaders, application development leaders, enterprise architects, DevOps teams, procurement stakeholders, and executive sponsors.
•Contribute field feedback, competitive intelligence, client requirements, win/loss insights, repeatable demonstrations, and best practices to OpenText management and product teams.
•Maintain current knowledge of application security technologies, AI-driven security capabilities, DevSecOps practices, SBOM and software supply chain trends, relevant standards, and competitor offerings.
•Serve as the technical liaison among clients, partners, OpenText sales teams, delivery teams, and technical support throughout the opportunity lifecycle.
•Travel within the assigned region as required.

•Strong client-facing pre-sales, solution consulting, security consulting, or technical architecture experience in enterprise software or cybersecurity.
•Deep understanding of application security and secure software development concepts, including SAST, DAST, SCA, secure coding, vulnerability triage, remediation workflows, and software risk management.
•Hands-on or solution-design experience with enterprise application security platforms. Experience with OpenText Fortify, WebInspect, Fortify Aviator, Sonatype, or Debricked is highly desirable.
•Practical knowledge of DevSecOps and CI/CD integration, including source-code management, build automation, testing gates, defect management, policy enforcement, and developer workflows.
•Knowledge of API security, web application testing, cloud-native application security, container-based scanning, and automated security testing.
•Understanding of open-source governance, SCA, software supply chain threats, malicious component prevention, SBOM generation and management, CycloneDX, and SPDX.
•Ability to explain AI-assisted security use cases clearly, including vulnerability analysis, false-positive reduction, remediation support, and operational efficiency.
•Ability to design and deliver compelling product demonstrations and lead complex PoCs or technical evaluations with measurable success criteria.
•Ability to lead complex solution discussions and present effectively to CISOs, security leaders, development leaders, enterprise architects, and C-level audiences.
•Experience articulating business value, risk reduction, ROI, TCO, operational efficiency, and strategic outcomes to executive stakeholders.
•Understanding of enterprise and financial-services security requirements. Familiarity with Korean public-sector procurement, local certification, or on-premises requirements is an advantage.
•Knowledge of SAP ABAP application security or experience supporting security analysis for packaged enterprise applications is an advantage.
•Experience working with security consulting companies, system integrators, resellers, and technology partners to pursue and deliver client opportunities.
•Strong competitive analysis, objection handling, written communication, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
