Description:

This role defines and executes Kohler’s
Strategic Sourcing digital AI transformation agenda by shaping and delivering
innovative, AI-enabled technology solutions.

This person has ownership of the AI solution lifecycle for within Strategic
Sourcing, from from identifying business problems and designing solutions to
development, implementation, and value realization.

The ideal candidate has a proven track record in transforming business
processes using AI, can develop robust AI agents, and effectively collaborates
with enterprise technology teams for integration, data engineering,
cybersecurity, and production deployment. This role ensures rapid prototyping
and agile delivery to meet evolving business needs.

Key Responsibilities

- AI Opportunity Discovery: Partner with Strategic Sourcing leaders, Category Managers and cross
functional teams to identify high value business problems, redesign workflows
and determine where AI, automation or traditional solutions can create
measurable value.
- Co-develop, AI Agents: Scope & Design end-to-end multi-agent systems for sourcing
workflows by translating business needs into AI‑driven solutions, with a
focus on rapid prototyping.
- Optimize Procurement: Find use cases & build AI solution for them for example automate
supplier research, RFx creation, spend analysis, sourcing insights, analytics
etc.
- Integrate Systems: Define the data, system and integration requirements required for AI
solutions and partner with Data Engineering, IT teams to establish integration
with SAP/ PLM/ other data sources as needed.
- Deploy RAG Pipelines: Enable deep analysis of complex supplier contracts and procurement
knowledge.
- Govern and Monitor: Establish guardrails for accurate, secure, compliant outputs; monitor
platform health, model performance, and optimize resource/ tokens usage.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with Category Managers, Sourcing
Leadership, Data Engineers, and IT Security teams.

Required Qualifications

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Data Science, Supply Chain,
or related technical field.
- Deep expertise across the modern GenAI stack: LLMs, agents, RAG, vector databases,
embeddings, prompt engineering, and evaluation harnesses. Proficiency in Python
and APIs sufficient to independently prototype and build AI solutions.
- Hands-on experience designing system-of-systems AI pipelines spanning search, retrieval,
agent harnesses, and model selection/triage.
- 3-5 years of experience across ML/AI, software solutions, automation or related technology
roles, including recent hands-on experience designing and building Generative
AI or agentic AI solutions.

Additional skills

- Domain Experience: Experience applying AI or data science solutions in Strategic
Sourcing, Procurement, or Supply Chain.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft AI stack: Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry, Azure AI
Search, and supporting Azure infrastructure including Databricks.
- Business Translation: Ability to convert complex AI concepts into clear procurement value
for stakeholders.
