Job Description and Responsibilities

Would you like to play a central role in the successful delivery of complex and sustainable mobility projects? We are looking for an engaged and experienced Project Planner who will work closely with Project Managers and multidisciplinary project teams to turn project scope and contractual requirements into clear, realistic and reliable schedules.

In this role, you will be a trusted advisor to the project team and provide the insight needed to manage time, interfaces and progress. You will establish and maintain integrated project schedules, analyse performance and highlight risks, delays and opportunities early enough for the team to take action.

Key Areas of Responsibility

• Develop, baseline, maintain and continuously improve integrated project schedules covering the full project scope and lifecycle.

• Translate contractual requirements, milestones and deliverables into robust, logic-driven schedules with a clear work breakdown structure.

• Coordinate planning inputs and schedule interfaces across engineering, procurement, installation, testing, commissioning and other project functions.

• Monitor actual progress against approved baselines, analyse variances and trends, and provide reliable forecasts.

• Perform critical path, float, milestone and scenario analyses and identify schedule risks, delays and opportunities.

• Recommend mitigation, recovery and acceleration measures and follow up agreed actions with the project team.

• Prepare clear schedule reports and visualisations , including milestone trends, S-curves, look-ahead plans, progress reports and management summaries.

• Work closely with project management, cost control and document management to ensure consistent and reliable project information.

• Support resource and cost-loaded planning, earned value analysis and schedule-related input to change and claims management when required.

• Promote structured planning practices and support project teams in using planning tools, methods and processes effectively.

Education, Skills and Qualifications

Your Background

• A university degree in engineering, project management or another relevant field. Extensive relevant project experience may compensate for formal education.

• At least three years of hands-on experience in project planning, schedule development and progress control in complex projects.

• Strong practical experience with Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project, together with advanced Excel skills.

• Experience in building work breakdown structures, logic networks, baselines and integrated schedules, preferably with interfaces to systems such as SAP.

• Good knowledge of critical path analysis, progress measurement, forecasting, schedule reporting and schedule risk management.

• Experience from railway, infrastructure, engineering, construction or another project-driven industry is an advantage.

• Experience with contractual schedules, earned value management or schedule support for changes and claims is beneficial.

• Fluent English, both written and spoken.

Who You Are

• Structured and analytical, with a strong eye for detail and the ability to see the bigger project picture.

• Proactive and solution-oriented, with the confidence to challenge assumptions and raise concerns early.

• A clear communicator who can turn complex schedule data into practical advice and focused priorities.

• Comfortable coordinating inputs, following up commitments and building constructive relationships across functions and cultures.

• Able to work independently, manage several priorities and deliver reliable information to agreed deadlines.

• Motivated by teamwork, continuous improvement and helping projects succeed.

• Willing to travel occasionally when required.

This is an opportunity to take on a visible and influential role in international mobility projects, work with highly skilled colleagues and further develop your expertise in project planning and project controls. If you enjoy creating clarity, connecting people and turning complex information into realistic plans, we would like to hear from you.
