About this role
We are looking for an enthusiastic student to join our team specializing in Quality for our Plant business unit in Daventry. During your placement with us, you will learn how a major global organization operates, gaining the tools and exposure you will need to become an expert in the industry and power your potential!
This ON-SITE role is available to candidates who qualify for a placement year and will commence Summer 2027. As requirements are to be fully on-site, you will need to be able to travel or relocate to the location on your own behalf .
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Working towards a degree in an appropriate Mechanical or Automotive Engineering discipline
- Understanding of industrial or production engineering
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Apply Python, Power BI, and data analytics skills to support root cause investigations, automate quality reporting processes, and improve real-time visibility of customer quality performance across PSBU product programmes
- Explore and develop machine learning and AI-assisted tools to identify patterns in quality and engineering data, supporting early detection of product concerns and smarter corrective action prioritisation
- Contribute to Quality 4.0 initiatives — building dashboards, automation tools, and analytical models that modernise how the quality team manages and resolves customer and product issues
