Senior Financial Management Specialist

Purpose

Drives the delivery of effective financial management, control and advisory support for their Business Unit and all projects/contracts managed by that business unit.

You’ll be responsible for:

- Partners with Project Managers to drive project performance, providing objective financial advice, challenge and insight to support effective decision-making.
- Leads robust budgeting, forecasting and financial planning, ensuring accurate reporting and effective cost control.
- Identifies financial risks and opportunities, developing solutions that improve project efficiency and outcomes.
- Maintains strong financial controls, accounting disciplines and risk management processes.
- Builds trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, influencing strategic financial decisions.
- Leads, develops and coaches finance teams, championing collaboration, continuous improvement and best practice.

You’ll need to have:

- Project-based role requiring a licensed CPA or equivalent recognized accounting qualification.
- Minimum 15 years’ professional experience, preferably 10 years within infrastructure projects.
- Strong budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, reporting and project financial advisory experience.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills; relevant professional training and a master’s degree preferred.
