Job Description

Java Developer

Primary Skills

- Hands-on experience in Java software engineering, including proficiency with Java 17+.

- Strong understanding of core Java language features and runtime behavior, including the type system, generics, reflection, concurrency, and the memory model.

- Experience using enterprise Java frameworks, including Spring Boot and Hibernate.

- Experience using test-driven development, JUnit, and mocking frameworks.

- Strong knowledge of relational databases, SQL, and data access patterns.

- Hands-on experience building cloud-based solutions, preferably on AWS.

- Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Testcontainers.

- Proficiency with source control, CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions preferred), and observability tooling (Datadog preferred).

- Experience with API standards, authentication/authorization patterns, and observability conventions
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical peers and stakeholders
- Experience deploying services using IaC technologies such as Terraform

Good to Have Skills

- Experience working effectively within agile software delivery teams
- Experience building software, libraries, or frameworks consumed by multiple development teams
- Experience with non-relational persistence technologies, such as DynamoDB.
