About this role
Description
Join Amazon Web Services (AWS) as an Associate Solutions Architect Intern and launch your career in cloud computing. Available to work full-time for either 3 or 6 months during 2027, you'll gain hands-on experience designing cloud and generative AI solutions, learning from experienced architects, and working on real AWS projects that impact millions of customers worldwide.
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is the world's leading cloud computing platform, helping millions of customers — from startups to global enterprises — build and run applications without managing physical servers. We're seeking motivated individuals for our Associate Solutions Architect Intern program, a structured learning experience designed to develop the next generation of Cloud Solutions Architects.
This internship serves as a pathway to our Solutions Architect Graduate Program, offering you the opportunity to build foundational knowledge in cloud computing, AWS services, and solutions architecture principles in a supportive, education-first environment. You'll learn to understand customer requirements, build working cloud and AI solutions, and communicate technical recommendations effectively while being mentored by experienced Solutions Architects.
Key job responsibilities
Complete a structured training curriculum to build cloud architecture foundations and develop expertise in AWS services
Analyze customer requirements and learn to translate them into technical solution recommendations
Participate in solution design sessions and observe customer engagements with experienced Solutions Architects
Work on a real AWS project, applying architecture principles and building hands-on experience with AWS services
Develop communication skills by learning to present technical concepts effectively to diverse audiences
A day in the life
As an Associate Solutions Architect Intern, you'll engage in a mix of structured learning and practical application. Your day might include attending training sessions on AWS services and the Well-Architected Framework, then applying those concepts to a real project you're building on AWS. You'll participate in solution design discussions, observing how experienced architects translate customer needs into technical recommendations. You might shadow customer engagements to see how solutions are presented to diverse audiences, then return to work on your own project, experimenting with AWS services and architecture principles. Throughout your internship, you'll develop presentation skills by communicating technical concepts to colleagues and mentors, receiving feedback that helps you grow as a solutions architect.

Together, we're building a community of architects who understand how to solve complex business problems through innovative cloud solutions. When you join us, you'll be part of a team that values your growth, supports your learning journey, and helps you develop the skills needed to succeed in cloud consulting and solutions architecture.
