Sway Sourcing is looking for an experienced Senior Buyer for an exciting consulting assignment in Gothenburg, Sweden.
About the Role
You will join a Global Chassis Purchasing team, where you will be responsible for driving purchasing activities, managing supplier relationships, and supporting new project implementations across various commodities.
The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure the right balance between quality, delivery, cost, technology, sustainability, and risk.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily global purchasing activities within chassis-related commodities.
- Drive strategic sourcing and project purchasing activities for new product and project implementations.
- Develop and implement segment and supplier business plans.
- Conduct commercial negotiations and manage supplier relationships.
- Ensure supplier quality and delivery performance.
- Identify and implement cost optimization initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and international stakeholders.
- Evaluate sourcing decisions based on cost, quality, delivery, technology, sustainability, and risk.
Requirements
We are looking for someone with:
- Experience in strategic purchasing within the automotive industry.
- Experience with chassis-related components or systems.
- Experience in project purchasing and strategic sourcing.
- Strong commercial negotiation skills.
- Experience in supplier relationship management.
- Strong analytical and cost management skills.
- Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders.
Personal Qualities
You are proactive, analytical, and commercially driven, with a positive attitude towards new challenges.
You have strong communication and negotiation skills, enjoy working in an international environment, and can manage multiple purchasing activities simultaneously.
