We invest in businesses that provide critical services to communities and economies, partnering with management teams to create long-term value through active ownership, strong governance, and disciplined asset management.

What we are looking for:

Fiera Infrastructure is seeking an Associate to join its Asset Management team in Toronto. This position offers the opportunity to take meaningful ownership of asset- and fun-level workstreams while gaining broad exposure across the full investment lifecycle, including portfolio monitoring, valuation, strategic initiatives, refinancing transactions, acquisitions, divestitures, and investor reporting. The successful candidate will work closely with senior members of the investment and asset management teams, and contribute to key decisions affecting portfolio performance and value creation. For individuals seeking to build a long-term career in private markets and infrastructure investing, this role provides significant responsibility, breadth of experience, and professional development within a collaborative and entrepreneurial environment.

Your responsibilities:

- Leading the development, maintenance, and review of complex financial models for purposes of managing and reporting on infrastructure companies and funds;
- Conducting detailed asset- and fund-level performance analysis, scenario modelling, and investment sensitivities, and translating findings into clear recommendations for senior team members;
- Monitoring financial and operational performance against investment cases, budgets, and strategic plans, and identifying key trends, risks, and opportunities;
- Preparing and reviewing materials for internal committees, portfolio company boards, investors, co-investors, and other stakeholders;
- Coordinating asset onboarding, portfolio information, investment updates, and reporting databases, while helping enhance the team's processes and analytical tools;
- Supporting and, where appropriate, leading workstreams related to value creation initiatives, refinancings, add-on acquisitions, capital projects, and divestitures;
- Leading components of the monthly, quarterly, and annual valuation processes, including valuation analyses and coordination with external valuation providers and auditors;
- Supporting investor relations and fundraising activities, including drafting responses to current and prospective investor questions and preparing portfolio-related materials;
- Providing guidance and review support to junior team members and contributing to a collaborative, high-performance team environment; and
- Leading or supporting special projects and strategic initiatives as they arise.

Must have requirements to be successful in this role:

- Undergraduate degree with outstanding academic achievement; a focus in business, finance, or engineering is preferred.
- Three to five years of relevant experience in infrastructure investing, private equity, investment banking, pension investing, transaction advisory, valuations, or management consulting.
- Demonstrated experience evaluating or managing investments, with exposure to infrastructure, energy, transportation, utilities, telecommunications, or other real asset sectors preferred.
- Advanced financial modelling and analytical skills, including experience building, reviewing, and interpreting detailed valuation, operating, and cash flow models.
- Sound commercial judgement and the ability to synthesize complex financial, operational, and strategic information into clear conclusions and recommendations.
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, with the confidence to engage effectively with senior internal and external stakeholders.
- A high level of ownership, attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, and problem-solving capability.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- A demonstrated ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
