About this role
We at Yara are part of a global network, collaborating to profitably and responsibly solve some of the world's key challenges - resource scarcity, food insecurity and environmental change.
About the Unit
Shape the future of reliable and high-performing production
In Reliability & Production Optimization, we believe that operational data combined with digital technologies can fundamentally improve the reliability, efficiency, and safety of industrial production.
We develop and operate the Yara Digital Production Platform (DPP) – a scalable foundation that provides consistent, high-quality access to production data across our global production sites.
Using DPP as a foundation, we design and deploy robust, user-friendly digital products that help engineers and operators make better decisions every day. Our unit is accountable for the end-to-end impact of these products: from defining product direction and priorities, through development and deployment, to realizing measurable value at the sites.
We are now looking for an Associate Product Manager to join our team and work closely with production sites. This position can be based in Brussels (Belgium), Oslo (Norway), or Porsgrunn (Norway).
Responsibilities
• Engage with production sites, engineers, and other stakeholders through interviews, workshops, and product discovery activities.
• Build awareness, understanding, and stakeholder commitment to the products and the value they create.
• Support the rollout and adoption of digital applications at production sites by ensuring access, training users, building understanding, and embedding the applications in daily work.
• Work closely with the Product Manager to understand user needs, define priorities, and support product discovery, planning, delivery, and continuous improvement.
• Translate user and business needs into clear product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Establish business cases, monitor whether the products are adopted and used, and conduct post-implementation reviews to assess realized value.
Profile
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, such as process, chemical, or automation engineering, or in another relevant field.
• Experience with, or exposure to, digital product development, industrial technology, production optimization, or operational improvement.
• Experience working in, or a good understanding of, agile and cross-functional product teams.
• A curious, collaborative, and pragmatic mindset, with the ability to learn quickly.
• Strong interest in understanding user needs and applying technology and data to solve real operational problems.
• Ability to communicate clearly, constructively challenge assumptions, and collaborate with stakeholders across disciplines, sites, and cultures.
• Motivation to work with industrial production and collaborate closely with production sites.
