The role
We are looking for an SDR Manager to lead, develop, and scale our Sales Development function across London and Boston. Our SDR team is the engine of Xapien's new business pipeline, and this role is central to making sure we generate consistent, high-quality opportunities for our Account Executives in both the UK/EMEA and North American markets.

You will take full ownership of a transatlantic team of Sales Development Representatives, setting the standard for outbound prospecting, qualification, and pipeline generation. You will coach and develop your SDRs day to day, build repeatable processes and playbooks, and hold the team accountable to clear activity and pipeline targets, while keeping a consistent culture and way of working across two offices and time zones.

Working closely with Sales leadership, Account Executives, Marketing, and RevOps, you will shape how we target, engage, and qualify prospects across our key verticals. This is a hands-on, people-focused leadership role suited to someone who has been a high-performing SDR themselves, loves developing talent, and is excited to build a scalable function in a high-growth environment.

Here’s what you will be responsible for

- Lead, manage, and motivate a team of SDRs across London and Boston, setting clear expectations and building a high-performance, supportive team culture across both offices
- Own the SDR team's pipeline targets, including meetings booked, qualified opportunities created, and pipeline value generated for the Account Executive team
- Deliver regular one-to-ones, call coaching, and performance reviews, helping each SDR develop their skills and progress their career, including into closing roles
- Recruit, hire, and onboard new SDRs as the team scales, working with People & Talent to attract strong talent in both the UK and US
- Build and refine outbound playbooks, cadences, messaging, and qualification frameworks tailored to our target verticals and regional markets
- Partner closely with Account Executives and Sales leadership to align territories, account targeting, and handover standards so every opportunity is set up to succeed
- Work with Marketing to ensure inbound leads are followed up quickly and effectively, and that campaigns and events translate into pipeline
- Monitor team activity, conversion rates, and pipeline metrics, using data to spot trends, diagnose issues, and drive continuous improvement
- Champion CRM hygiene and accurate reporting, ensuring all SDR activity and opportunities are consistently tracked and up to date
- Evaluate and get the most out of the sales tech stack (e.g. CRM, sales engagement, and data tools) in collaboration with RevOps
- Report on SDR performance and forecast pipeline contribution to Sales leadership on a regular basis
- Share insight from the front line on buyer sentiment, objections, and market trends to inform broader go-to-market strategy

Your skills & experience

- Proven experience leading or managing an SDR/BDR team in a B2B SaaS environment, with a track record of hitting team pipeline targets
- Background as a successful SDR/BDR yourself, with a strong grasp of what great outbound prospecting looks like
- Experience managing or working with distributed teams across multiple locations or time zones (UK and US experience is a strong advantage)
- A genuine passion for coaching and developing people, with examples of helping team members grow and progress
- Strong understanding of outbound sales methodologies, qualification frameworks, and multi-touch, multi-channel prospecting
- Data-driven approach to managing performance, with confidence using metrics to make decisions and drive improvement
- Hands-on experience with CRM and sales engagement tools (e.g. HubSpot, Salesforce, Outreach, Salesloft, or similar)
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with Sales, Marketing, and leadership stakeholders
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment where processes are still being built and evolve quickly
- Experience selling into legal, compliance, risk, or financial services buyers, or in due diligence or data-led solutions, is a strong advantage

Here’s our promise to you:

- We are going to work with you - to build a rewarding and fulfilling career with the opportunities, challenges and resources you need to do you your best work.

- We succeed together- you will own a meaningful part of the business through our employee shares & equity programme.

- Private health insurance to keep you in tip-top condition.

- Life Insurance – let's hope nobody ever needs this!

- Unlimited holidays – yes, it really is uncapped – take the time you need, when you need it.

- Everyone is learning, developing and challenging themselves so we have a £1k professional development fund per year if you want to learn new skills, even new things outside of work.

- Most importantly of all, we will work with you, to help you realise your fullest potential, always.
