Schedule:  Monday – Friday, 7:00AM - 3:30PM

Pay Rate: $20.00 – $25.00/hour (DOE)

Job Description

PrideStaff is seeking an experienced Machine Operator to join a premier food production and packaging facility in Sacramento, CA.

In this role, you will be operating specialized packaging equipment, including Vertical Form Fill and Seal (VFFS) machinery , industrial food grinders, and grain elevators. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, hands-on experience with equipment changeovers and film splicing, and a background in food handling safety.

Key Responsibilities

Operate, monitor, and adjust industrial packaging equipment, specifically ICA CSV40 Vertical Form Fill and Seal (VFFS) machines or similar vertical packaging machinery.

Safely operate auxiliary food processing equipment, including industrial grinders, grain elevators, and taping/boxing machines.

Perform film splicing to feed packaging materials continuously into machines without disrupting workflow.

Complete basic machinery adjustments and execute product changeovers efficiently to maintain daily production schedules.

Adhere strictly to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Food Handling Safety guidelines at all times.

Safely lift, stack, and move materials weighing between 15 lbs and 50 lbs throughout the shift.

Requirements & Qualifications

Experience: Prior experience operating Vertical Form Fill & Seal (VFFS) machinery (ICA CSV40 preferred) or similar vertical packaging systems.

Technical Skills: Proven ability to splice film into machines and adjust machinery during product changeovers.

Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with Food Handling Safety standards, sanitation guidelines, and GMP compliance.

Certifications: Forklift Certification is a major plus.

Physical Demands: Ability to regularly lift 15–50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive manual tasks.
