About this role
The Grand America Hotel is seeking enthusiastic and service-oriented Seasonal Servers and Bussers to join our team for our annual Breakfast with Santa event.
Event Dates:
- November 28
- December 5, 12, 18, 19, 21, and 22
Position Type: Seasonal / Part-Time
Availability: Must be available for all scheduled shifts , primarily weekend mornings during the dates listed above
Responsibilities
- Warmly welcome guests and provide attentive, professional service throughout their dining experience.
- Monitor buffet stations, ensuring food levels, cleanliness, and presentation meet hotel standards.
- Serve beverages and clear plates in a timely and courteous manner.
- Assist with setup, restocking, and cleanup before and after each shift.
- Ensure guest satisfaction and provide assistance to families and children as needed.
Qualifications
- Must be able to communicate clearly in English.
- Previous experience in hospitality, restaurant, or banquet service preferred.
- Friendly, professional demeanor and strong customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure and a positive attitude.
- Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
- Must be available for all Breakfast with Santa event dates listed above.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time (up to 8 hours per shift).
- Ability to lift, carry, and transport trays, dishes, and supplies weighing up to 30 pounds .
- Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting during setup, service, and cleanup.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and moving safely in crowded spaces.
- Must adhere to all hotel safety and grooming standards.
