We're seeking a skilled and innovative Newscast Director to lead live and recorded productions across television, streaming, and digital platforms. What You'll Do
- Direct live newscasts, special coverage, and locally produced programming.
- Lead control room operations, coordinating cameras, audio, graphics, and production staff.
- Produce and oversee content for broadcast, streaming, OTT, CTV, and FAST channels.
- Direct breaking news, weather, sports, election coverage, and special events.
- Operate and manage live-streaming technologies, including VMIX, OBS, and related production systems.
- Partner with newsroom, digital, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality productions across multiple platforms.
- Train and mentor production staff while helping develop best practices and workflows.
What We're Looking For
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience directing live television or streaming productions.
- Knowledge of control room operations, live production workflows, and digital streaming technologies.
- Ability to perform under pressure and make quick decisions during breaking news situations.
- A collaborative team player who is passionate about producing compelling content.
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; degree in Broadcast Production, Communications, Journalism, Media Production, or a related field preferred.
- At least two years of experience in television production, directing, or newsroom operations.
- Availability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays, and weather-related coverage.
