About this role

This role is a hybrid opportunity for candidates to work in office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from our Seattle or Detroit offices and work remotely all other days. We can consider highly qualified candidates on a remote only basis who reside outside of these three areas .

Redfin is one of the most recognized names in residential real estate, a technology-powered brokerage and search platform that has spent two decades reshaping how people find, tour, buy, sell, and rent a home. Millions of people start their housing search on Redfin every month. Together, Redfin and its Rentals network, including Rent. and ApartmentGuide, reach more than 50 million monthly visitors across the housing market.

Redfin is now part of Rocket Companies (NYSE: RKT), joining Rocket Mortgage, Mr. Cooper, Rocket Homes, Rocket Close, Rocket Money, and Rocket Loans in a single connected ecosystem spanning search, financing, closing, servicing, and everyday personal finance. That combination puts Redfin at the front of the largest homeownership platform in the country, and gives its product teams a view of the client journey that no standalone portal or brokerage can match.

The Role

We are looking for a Senior Demand and Forecasting Analytics Manager to lead a data science team covering some of the systems at the very core of Redfin, including how we route customers to agents and build our projections of the course of the business (budget). Your team owns development of how these core processes work including models which determine production decisions and define Redfin's ultimate KPIs.

This is a senior, hands-on leadership role. You will lead and develop a small team while staying close to the work yourself, shaping methods and practices, raising the quality bar, and serving as the analytical voice senior business leaders turn to solve complex problems.

What you'll do

- Lead, coach, and develop a team of four to five data scientists and business intelligence engineers.
- Be an active thought partner to senior data scientists, ask the right questions and help solve problems.
- Embed AI into how the team works, accelerating exploratory analysis, code generation, documentation, and synthesis, with guardrails appropriate to a regulated environment. Meet each team member where they’re at and work with them to move forward.
- Design and maintain scalable analytical assets in Snowflake, including well-modeled datasets, shared metric definitions, and self-serve Tableau analytics that reduce one-off request volume.
- Partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Finance on complex cross-functional problems, and represent analytics in senior forums.
- Set the analytical strategy for major product investments, helping teams understand tradeoffs and own the quarterly analytics roadmap, prioritizing the highest-impact opportunities and contracting clearly on work the team will not prioritize.
- Translate ambiguous business questions into clear analytical plans, and translate results into recommendations senior leaders can act on.

About you

- 9+ years of experience in analytics, preferably in a data science role.
- 5+ years of experience directly leading data science teams.
- Strong statistical and causal reasoning foundation.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a track record of influencing senior product and business leaders.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen, with a thorough mastery of budgeting dynamics, top-line drivers, and bottom-line margin expansion. Proven skill in balancing near-term revenue targets against long-term profitability.
- Experienced in leading AI-assisted analytics teams. Helped design how AI-produced work gets reviewed to avoid bottlenecks.
- Demonstrated, practical use of AI in an analytics workflow, with specific examples of how it changed your team's speed, quality, or leverage.
- Expert in SQL, data modeling, and building reusable analytical layers. Snowflake experience preferred.
- Proven background constructing scalable and self-serve business intelligence solutions used across the organization.

What you’ll get

Our team members fuel our strategy, innovation and growth, so we ensure the health and well-being of not just you, but your family, too! We go above and beyond to give you the support you need on an individual level and offer all sorts of ways to help you live your best life.
