The Finance Controller works as an integrated part of the business with Marketing, Sales in Hong Kong providing financial information, tools, analysis, and insights, challenging their thinking, helping them to make more informed decisions and driving business strategy. The Finance Controller provides support and analysis, is a trusted adviser and adds value that will assist in decision-making and in successfully steering the business. He or she is a hands-on person, who has a background in management accounting (Planning, Forecasting, Reporting, Analysis) and financial reporting, is thinking strategically and is adapting quickly to changing environments. The Finance Controller is part of a wider Controlling team supporting the greater region and reporting to the Head of Controlling based in Shanghai.

Key Responsibilities

- Ensure proper accounting in local ledger
- Liaise with local tax advisor / accountant and auditors
- Responsibility for local accounts payables
- Management of all Trade spend including reconciliations with Retailers/distributors to ensure accurate management of all trade spend accruals and payments
- Provide analysis regarding trade commitments, YTD spendings and deviations vs. the plans in Hong Kong
- Prepare group reporting and ensure compliance with local reporting requirements in Hong Kong
- Analysis of the sales performance with individual retailers and distributors in Hong Kong markets
- Bridging finance and the business, and providing insights, analysis, and guidance to support informed decision-making and drive business performance
- Support the sales team in value chain and promo analysis to maximize sales efficiency
- Support in the planning cycles (budget, latest estimates, rolling forecast)
- Adhoc transformation Projects

Key Requirements

1) A hands-on person, who has a background in management accounting (Planning, Forecasting, Reporting, Analysis) and financial reporting, is thinking strategically and is adapting quickly to changing environments.

2) The Finance Controller is part of a wider Controlling team supporting the greater region and reporting to the Head of Controlling based in Shanghai.

3) At least 5 years above related working experience, close to native English level
