About this role

The Hardware System Verification Intern will support system-level hardware verification and testing, working closely with hardware engineers to validate the functionality, performance, and robustness of hardware systems.

The role is primarily hands-on and laboratory based. The intern will learn the system, execute tests, investigate unexpected behavior, collect and analyze measurement data, and support engineers in identifying and resolving hardware issues.

The ideal candidate is curious, hands-on, systematic, and eager to understand why things work or fail, rather than simply completing a predefined test checklist.

Your role Key responsibilities in your new role

- Work closely with hardware engineers to perform system-level hardware verification and validation.
- Set up hardware, test boards, instruments, power supplies, loads, cables, and other equipment required for verification.
- Execute verification according to test plans and defined test conditions.
- Perform functional, electrical, interface, and system-level testing of hardware.
- Use laboratory equipment to measure and capture relevant electrical signals and system behavior.
- Record test conditions, measurement results, abnormalities, and observations in a structured way.
- Analyze test data and compare results against expected system performance or specifications.
- Support troubleshooting and root-cause investigation when abnormal behavior or test failures are observed.
- Repeat and modify test conditions to help isolate hardware, interface, configuration, or system-related issues.
- Work with engineers to continuously improve test methods, test coverage, and test efficiency.
- Prepare concise test reports, data summaries, plots, and technical documentation.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and disciplined working approach in the laboratory.

Your profile Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

Education

- Current university student in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Automation, Power Electronics, Mechatronics , or a related engineering discipline.

Technical

- Good understanding of basic electronics, circuits, and electrical measurements .
- Comfortable with hands-on hardware work and willing to work regularly in a laboratory environment.
- Basic experience using common laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and electronic loads .
- Able to read basic schematics, block diagrams, datasheets, and hardware specifications .
- Experience with PCB bring-up, soldering, debugging, or hardware testing is an advantage.
- Basic data-processing skills using Excel, MATLAB, Python, or similar tools are an advantage.
- Knowledge of power electronics, embedded systems, semiconductor devices, or common hardware interfaces is a plus.

Personal
Attributes

- Curious:  wants to understand why a result occurs, not only whether it passes or fails.
- Hands-on:  enjoys working directly with boards, equipment, probes, cables, and real systems.
- Systematic:  changes test conditions carefully and records results clearly.
- Analytical:  able to connect measurement results with possible hardware or system behavior.
- Proactive:  willing to investigate unexpected results and propose the next experiment.
- Collaborative:  works effectively with hardware engineers and communicates observations clearly.
