Are you ready for the next step in your career? Perhaps you've developed strong skills and experience in your current role but have limited opportunities to progress.

If you're passionate about sharing your knowledge, supporting others, and continuing your own professional development, we'd love to hear from you.

At Buttons and Bows we like to do things differently. So, if you’re an inside the box thinker, this isn’t the role for you. Our favourite question of “well why not?” helps us to think about ways we can truly transform practice for our children.

Ranging from our newly developed forest garden to our beautiful atelier, we like to turn our practice dreams into reality. As a non-for-profit charity, everything we make goes back into making a difference to our children and families.

We’re looking for an inspiring Senior SENDCo to help bring this vision to life. At Buttons and Bows, you don’t just join a team, you join a community of experienced, passionate leaders who want you to thrive and will actively support your growth. You’ll become part of our established specialist support team, with each person leading a distinct area of practice while working together to bridge gaps in children’s learning.

Are you what we’re looking for?

- Are you independent and driven?
- Are you passionate about rights for children, particularly those with barriers to learning?
- Do you have expert knowledge and experience in SEND always acting with compassion and empathy?
- Are you always wanting to build knowledge and have a willingness to learn?
- Are you a team player who likes to go on a journey with your colleagues?
- Is relationship building with families a natural skill?
- Do you have sound knowledge on funding but also a critical understanding of how best to use it?

If you tick these boxes, you’ll fit right in.

So, what about what we can offer you?

Your development matters to us. Alongside in-house training, coaching and mentoring, you’ll have opportunities to learn from external experts across the UK, and sometimes even further afield. Training isn’t a box-ticking exercise here; it’s how we keep growing our practice and our people.

A newly revamped and dedicated space in our ‘sensory hub’ equipped with everything you could need to really advance children’s outcome and get the best out of children you support- plus our mirror den is a great place to just regulate ourselves!

Ability to shape and mold practice including directing how funding is spent and why Dedicated ‘surplus’ time where you can focus on either delivering or developing support for children

Some musts for us are a full and relevant Level 3 qualification in early years as well as fully complying with safeguarding and referencing checks. As a candidate, you should also hold a Level 3 SENDCo qualification but for the right person we would consider training, as people and passion are as important to us!

So, what are you waiting for? Come join us!
