About this role

The Marketing Communications Manager leads the strategy, development, execution, and measurement of all marketing communications activity — both digital and traditional — across the organization. Reporting to the Sales Director, this role is responsible for building brand equity, driving awareness and preference, and generating qualified demand through integrated marketing programs that span the full sales funnel. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker and hands-on executor; equally comfortable shaping go-to-market strategy with commercial leadership and personally crafting a compelling content piece or managing a campaign in the MarTech stack. This role also carries leadership responsibility and direct supervision of the marketing communications team.

Essential Responsibilities

- Marketing Strategy & Planning. Develop, own, and annually refresh a comprehensive marketing communications plan — defining strategies, tactics, timelines, and budgets — aligned to the company's revenue growth priorities.
- Integrated Campaign Execution. Design and deliver multi-channel campaigns across digital and traditional channels that drive brand awareness, generate qualified leads, and accelerate sales pipeline.
- Brand & Content Stewardship. Own and protect the company's brand standards, style guide, and visual identity; produce compelling written content — white papers, case studies, product copy, presentations, and digital assets — that translate technical information into clear, audience-appropriate messaging.
- Product Launch Support. Collaborate with Product Management on new product introductions, from positioning and messaging through to sales materials, campaign content, and ongoing promotional support.
- Sales Enablement. Equip the sales team with the tools they need to win — brochures, flyers, presentations, sales scripts, training materials, and digital engagement resources — ensuring all materials are technically accurate and commercially sharp.
- Digital Presence & SEO. Manage the company's website, SEO/SEM, email marketing, and social media platforms; continuously optimize digital performance and report on key metrics including traffic and campaign ROI.
- Marketing Technology. Own and operate the MarTech stack for campaign execution, lead tracking, and performance measurement; research and recommend new platforms in partnership with IT as the business grows.
- Events & Trade Shows. Plan, coordinate, and execute customer-facing events, trade shows, webinars, and industry conferences that build brand presence, generate leads, and keep the company current on competitive trends.
- Budget & Vendor Management. Own the marketing communications budget — forecasting, allocating, and reconciling spending for maximum ROI — and manage external agencies, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Team Leadership. Supervise, mentor, and develop Marketing team talent; set clear objectives, delegate effectively, and foster a high-performance team culture.
- Cross-functional Collaboration. Serve as the primary marketing partner to sales leaders, business unit leaders, HR and Product Management; contribute to and occasionally lead cross-functional initiatives that advance company-wide goals.

Minimum Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
- 8+ years of progressive marketing communications experience, with a demonstrated track record of delivering value and innovation.
- Proven ability to develop and execute integrated marketing strategies and campaigns across digital and traditional channels.
- Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex or technical topics and translate them into compelling, audience-appropriate content and value propositions.
- Expert written, verbal, and presentation skills; an eye for strong messaging and copy.
- Strong digital marketing proficiency, including SEO/SEM, email marketing, social media platforms, and content management systems (CMS).
- Experience with web and campaign analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics); ability to draw insights from data and drive continuous improvement.
- Excellent project management skills: able to evaluate competing priorities, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines consistently.
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills; ability to work effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience managing budgets, external vendors, and agency relationships.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in a B2B, industrial, technical, or solutions-oriented marketing environment.
- Familiarity with Martech platforms and workflow tools.
- Aptitude for graphic design; advanced PowerPoint and/or Adobe Creative Suite skills.
- Exposure to event planning, including agenda development and logistics management.
- Experience with social or digital advertising.
- Experience supervising or mentoring marketing team members.

Skills, Abilities & Other Requirements

- Preferred working knowledge of electrical distribution equipment or the broader power management industry
- Ability to rapidly develop fluency in product lines, technical specifications, and application standards (NEC, ANSI, IEEE, IEC, etc.).
- Familiarity with key market segments (O&G, Petrochemical, Utility T&D, PowerGen, C&I, Mission Critical including Data Centers).
- Proficient in web analytics and social media reporting
- Highly organized self-starter, able to manage multiple concurrent projects across business units and geographics without losing attention to detail or quality
- Comfortable operating in a lean team environment where hands-on execution is as important as strategic thinking
- Awareness of regional market differences across North America (preferably Global including Europe, EMEA, SE Asia)

Working & Environmental Conditions

Work will require travel to manufacturing operations as well as events and exhibitions.
