Your day as a Project Manager
- Oversee and manage structural steel erection and miscellaneous metals installation projects
- Collaborate with various teams to ensure project success, from participating in steel detailing to creating comprehensive schedules
- Review specifications, preparing critical documents, and maintaining detailed reports to track progress
- Prepare and negotiate change orders, deducts, and proposals with clients.
- Maintain effective communication and strong client relationships
- Coordinate with subcontractors, fabricators, and other project stakeholders
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field or a combination of education and experience
- Prior Project Management experience in steel fabrication/erection or miscellaneous metals
- A valid US driver's license is required
- Knowledge of AISC and PCI standards is preferred
- Familiarity with scheduling software such as Microsoft Project or Primavera is preferred
- Understanding mathematics and possessing basic field tools for measurements
- Knowledge of safety, quality, and cost control standards and procedures
- Knowledge of materials methods and tools involved in steel construction
- Knowledge of Tekla and Fabtrol software programs is preferred
