About this role
We are looking for a creative and commercially sharp Art Director to join our Digital Studio team. This is a hands-on creative role with real ownership — someone who can move between art directing a product shoot in the morning and building a launch landing page in the afternoon, and bring the same elevated eye to both.
The Role
As Art Director in our Digital Studio, you will be responsible for how Nordic Knots looks and feels across our owned digital channels, first and foremost our e-commerce site, but also the broader ecosystem of assets that supports it: campaigns, lookbooks, catalogs, printed materials and educational content.
You will work on in-house product shoots, collection launches and key creative projects. The brand-marketing team are an important creative partner, their direction on brand and campaign strategy will shape much of your work, and collaboration here will be close and ongoing. The e-commerce team are equally central, as they own the channel for a significant share of what you produce; understanding their needs and working in step with them is a core part of the role. You will also work closely with the growth team, creating and adapting assets for always-on digital advertising, ensuring paid channels are served with creative that is both on-brand and built to perform.
A major focus will be building the visual world for our expanding product range, particularly curtains and fabrics, across site and owned channels. There is real creative territory to define here.
Your Responsibilities
E-commerce and digital
- Art direct and produce e-commerce creative assets — product imagery, lifestyle content, collection launches, banners and digital materials
- Create and adapt assets for always-on digital advertising in close collaboration with the growth team, ensuring paid creative is on-brand and optimised for performance
- Design and build launch landing pages for new products and collections, balancing creative elevation with commercial effectiveness
- Develop a consistent visual language for how Nordic Knots presents new product categories, with a particular focus on curtains and fabrics
Product photography
- Art direct in-house product shoots — from concept and pre-production through to final delivery
- Develop briefs, moodboards and set direction with a strong eye for what works for our brand aesthetic and product
Print and presentation
- Design and produce catalogs, lookbooks, point of sale materials and presentations
- Manage creative development through to print-ready delivery, working with external production partners where needed
Video
- Edit and produce video content for e-commerce, social and owned channels — from product films and shoot footage to short-form content and campaign edits
- Bring the same creative standard to motion as to still imagery, ensuring video output is consistent with the Nordic Knots visual identity
Content and editorial
- Collaborate with our content writer on guides, tutorials and educational projects — bringing art direction and visual thinking to content that goes beyond product promotion
About You
You are a versatile creative with a strong point of view and the confidence to bring it into a room. You have grown up working across digital and print, and are comfortable art directing a shoot, designing a landing page and laying out a catalog — not because you are a generalist, but because you are genuinely good across all of it.
You understand the demands of e-commerce creative: communicating product clearly and compellingly while thinking about the customer journey. You also understand that a brand like Nordic Knots requires a consistent world, and you want to help build it.
You are collaborative by nature — comfortable working closely with photographers, writers, commercial and marketing teams alike. You are organised and self-directed, able to manage multiple projects across different formats and timelines. A design background is a meaningful advantage.
Experience
- Significant experience as an Art Director or Digital Designer within a premium lifestyle, interior design, fashion or home brand — in-house, agency, or both
- Strong portfolio across e-commerce, digital campaigns, printed materials and product shoot art direction
- Experience art directing product photography — knowing how to brief and guide a shoot to a specific creative outcome
- Experience building landing pages and digital editorial with an understanding of both creative and commercial objectives
- Experience with print production including catalogs, lookbooks or POS
- Solid video editing skills, with experience producing content for e-commerce, social or campaign use
- A design background is a strong advantage
- Genuine interest in interior design and the specific challenge of building a visual world around textiles and soft furnishings
Nordic Knots
Nordic Knots was founded in 2016 by Liza Laserow, Fabian Berglund and Felix Berglund. We are a fast-growing direct-to-consumer Scandinavian interior design brand with the US as our primary market.
Nordic Knots was born from a culture of thoughtful design that lasts beyond seasons and trends. Fusing function and aesthetics with a Scandinavian sensibility, we craft timeless textiles for the modern home. We believe that great textiles are foundational — that they can transform a house into a harmonious home, and frame the most beautifully curated lives.
Our head office and flagship store are located on Birger Jarlsgatan in central Stockholm. We have a growing team across both Sweden and the US.
What We Offer
We are a driven team with high ambitions and an entrepreneurial, open-minded culture where new ideas and initiative are genuinely encouraged. At Nordic Knots, everyone plays a meaningful role in how the brand grows.
You will have real creative ownership across a wide range of projects, close working relationships with brand-marketing, e-commerce and growth teams, and the opportunity to define the visual world of a product range still taking shape.
We value diversity and inclusion and welcome applicants who bring different perspectives, experiences and ideas to our team.
Location
This position is based at our Stockholm headquarters.
