So, who are we?
IG Group is a FTSE 100 fintech operating across five continents, serving over 1.4m customers and handling billions of dollars in transactions – built on scale, trust, and proof. We didn't pivot to innovation; it's how we've always operated. What that means for the people who work here is real: genuinely complex problems to solve, the technology and resources to tackle them properly, and the kind of scope that's rare in established businesses.
The bar is high – bring a curious and forward-thinking mindset and we'll give you the platform to define what comes next.
Join us at IG – the future gets built here.
Your Team:
Own the editorial engine that grows IG's organic visibility in the UK. This role produces authoritative, search-optimised content across trading, investing and markets, turning complex financial topics into content that ranks, builds trust, and converts readers into clients. It sits at the intersection of editorial quality, SEO discipline, and financial-promotions compliance.
What you’ll do:
- Plan and produce a high-quality pipeline of articles across CFDs and leveraged trading, share dealing and investing, crypto, and tax-efficient products such as ISAs, mapped to commercial priorities.
- Own the UK editorial calendar end to end, covering topic and keyword research, briefing, writing, editing, and publishing.
- Translate SEO strategy into content, including search intent, keyword targeting, internal linking, and on-page optimisation, using tools such as Ahrefs.
- Raise the bar on editorial standards, delivering accuracy, clarity, and a distinctive house voice that differentiates IG in a crowded market.
- Partner with Compliance so that all content meets FCA financial-promotions requirements without losing editorial quality or speed.
- Commission and edit freelance and contributor content where needed, maintaining consistency and standards at scale.
- Track organic performance across rankings, traffic, engagement, and assisted conversions, and iterate content based on what drives results.
What You'll Need:
- Strong editorial background with demonstrable experience writing and editing about financial markets, trading, or investing for a general audience.
- Proven ability to write for SEO, with a clear understanding of search intent and the judgement to balance ranking mechanics with genuinely useful content.
- Hands-on fluency with SEO tooling such as Ahrefs, and comfort working from performance data.
- Excellent command of written English, with sharp attention to accuracy and detail.
- Self-directed and fast, able to manage a busy publishing schedule independently and hit a consistent cadence.
Desirable requirements
- Working knowledge of FCA financial-promotions rules, or experience producing content in another regulated environment.
- Familiarity with retail trading and investing products, and the audiences that use them.
- Experience commissioning or managing freelance writers and contributors.
- Comfort with CMS and analytics platforms, and basic on-page technical SEO.
The perks:
It really is more than a job. We think like a start-up, but we deliver like a FTSE 100 — so the bar is high, and we won't pretend otherwise. We work hybrid, which means three days in the office. We’ll recognise your talent and make sure that you can still have a life – at work, and outside of it. Networks, committees, awards, sports and social clubs, mentorships, volunteering opportunities, extra time off… the list goes on. Competitive salary
- Flexible Benefits Package on top of your salary (12%)
- Private medical cover
- Life insurance
- Contribution to gym memberships
- 25 Days holiday, with 1 additional day off to celebrate your Birthday & 2 additional days off a year for voluntary work (28 in total)
- The option to buy or sell holiday days
- Unlimited access to the LinkedIn Learning Platform
- A comprehensive global and local onboarding process
- Employee-led LGBTQ+, Women's, Black and Parents & Carers networks with an annual budget for organising events & projects that foster an open, diverse and inclusive culture
- Enhanced primary (maternity), secondary (paternity), and shared parental pay and leave, as well as a range of support and benefits for parents
- Option to participate and create ESG initiatives based on IG Brighter Future Fund
