In this role, you keep complex logistics operations moving! You coordinate order and freight management for our key accounts, ensuring everything runs smoothly. Do you thrive on variety and enjoy tackling challenging issues related to imports, exports and cross trades? Then our SCS (Supply Chain Solutions) department is the place for you. Together with nine experienced forwarding colleagues, you develop smart logistics solutions, liaise with customers and help deliver outstanding service: You’re on it.

How you do this? As a Senior Forwarder, you are the driving force behind complex international shipments beyond Europe. You oversee the entire logistics process, managing imports, exports and cross trades to ensure every shipment runs smoothly and efficiently. But you look beyond day-to-day operations. You proactively identify opportunities to make our customers’ supply chains smarter, more efficient and more effective, and actively bring these improvement opportunities to their attention. You take initiative, develop practical solutions and turn ideas into action. You achieve this by:

- coordinating complex shipments, you are responsible for the planning, booking, and handling of both import and export shipments. You work closely with internal teams and external partners and ensure all processes run smoothly according to the agreed SOPs with our clients;

- managing, preparing, and monitoring documentation and compliance, you handle forwarding and customs documentation to ensure all processes comply with applicable laws and regulations;

- acting as a proactive problem solver for our customers, you keep them informed about shortages, delays, or damages and come up with suitable solutions that work for all parties involved;

- maintaining relationships and developing the network, you build and strengthen relationships with customers, overseas offices, and partners, while monitoring supplier performance. You will also participate in MBRs, contributing to the optimization of the entire supply chain;

- informing stakeholders, you ensure all relevant documents, information, and updates are shared on time with colleagues, agents, and branches, keeping processes efficient and transparent.

You bring

- at least 5 years of experience in freight forwarding. Ideally, you have personally managed shipments from A to Z in an operational freight forwarding role;

- experience with complex international shipments, preferably ocean freight and destinations outside Europe;

- a proactive, solution-oriented mindset. You take initiative, think ahead and turn opportunities to create smarter, more efficient supply chains into practical solutions that you actively discuss with our customers;

- flexibility and strong communication skills. You switch easily between different departments and communicate clearly in both Dutch (minimum B2 level) and English;

- drive and motivation. Your enthusiasm, initiative and proactive approach are just as important to us as your experience. We’re looking for someone who spots opportunities and takes action to make them happen!
