About this role

About the role

Just graduated, or about to, join Superscript as our IT Graduate Intern and kick-start your career in tech!

As our dedicated IT support on the ground, you’ll often be the first and only person colleagues turn to when something goes wrong. Being dependable, on time and around when people need you is at the heart of this role. You'll help colleagues get the devices, systems and access they need, and solve their issues quickly and with a smile.

This is a hands-on, people-facing role with real responsibility from day one. You'll learn alongside our IT Operations Specialist and work with colleagues across Technology, People and Compliance, supporting our London, Glasgow and Rotterdam teams and our hybrid workforce.

We care more about how you think than how long you've worked. If you're smart, inquisitive & love solving problems and want to build a career in IT, we'd love to hear from you.

What you'll get up to:

- Be a first point of contact for IT requests, in person, on Slack and through our ticketing system.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, access and connectivity problems, and resolve them where you can.
- Log, prioritise and track requests through to resolution, keeping colleagues updated along the way.
- Escalate trickier issues to the IT Operations Specialist or our vendors, with clear notes.
- Spot recurring issues and flag them so we can find permanent fixes.
- Set up, deploy and collect company Macs for joiners, movers and leavers.
- Help keep devices patched, up to date and compliant using our endpoint management tools (e.g. Jamf).
- Keep the IT asset inventory and stock of equipment, peripherals and spare devices accurate.
- Help with damaged, lost or stolen device processes, and make sure returned devices are securely wiped.
- Create, update and remove user accounts across Google Workspace, Slack and our other SaaS tools.
- Help colleagues set up SSO and MFA and sort out sign-in issues.
- Run onboarding and off boarding IT checklists with our People team.
- Be the go-to person for meeting-room tech (Google Meet, Logitech), printers and Wi-Fi.
- Carry out basic checks on our office network (UniFi) and escalate to suppliers where needed.
- Triage suspected phishing emails and security concerns raised by colleagues.
- Help promote good security habits and support evidence gathering for Cyber Essentials and ISO 27001.
- Write clear how-to guides and FAQs that make tech easier for everyone.
- Suggest ways to simplify and automate repetitive tasks, and get stuck into IT projects and roll-outs.

About you:

You're early in your IT career, but you already know your way around a Mac and love working out why things break. You might be a recent graduate in Computer Science, IT or a related subject, or you might have built your skills another way: a placement, a part-time job, a home lab or helping everyone you know with their tech.

- Strong, hands-on confidence with macOS and Apple devices: you can set one up, troubleshoot it and explain what you did.
- A sharp, logical approach to problem-solving, and the curiosity to dig until you find the root cause.
- A switched-on attitude: you notice things, take ownership and follow through.
- Clear, friendly communication, with the ability to explain technical issues in plain language.
- A basic understanding of good security practice, such as MFA, strong passwords and spotting phishing.
- Organisation and attention to detail, so nothing gets lost between a request and its fix.
- Eagerness to learn new tools quickly and take on more as you grow.
- Any exposure to Jamf or another endpoint management tool.
- Experience with Google Workspace, Slack or other SaaS admin consoles.
- Familiarity with a ticketing system such as ServiceNow, Zendesk or Jira.
- An interest in networking, cloud (e.g. AWS) or cyber security, or a relevant certification such a
- Apple Certified Support Professional, CompTIA A+ or Google IT Support.
