Inventory Warehouse Specialist

UDR is seeking qualified candidates for a Inventory Warehouse Specialist opportunity in Carlsbad, NM at the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) .

Work Location: On-Site at WIPP preferred,
Duration: 6 months assignment
U.S. Citizenship required

The Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) is the nation’s only permanent nuclear waste repository for defense-generated transuranic (TRU) waste generated from Department of Energy (DOE) sites across the country. Waste is permanently isolated over 2,000 feet underground in deep salt beds.

Duties:
- The successful candidate will receive and inspect merchandise from delivery trucks.
- Receive material into the accounting system and organize merchandise on racks.
- Perform daily inventory cycle counts.
- Fill requisitions, work orders, and requests for materials or other stock items.
- Ready material orders to be staged/delivered to different areas for distribution.
- Identify damage, loss, or surplus of goods and materials stored in warehouse.
- Perform any other warehouse related tasks or projects assigned by manager.

Qualifications:
- This position requires basic mathematical and computer skills and ability to pass the
- required training to perform the job.
- Ability to operate a forklift both electrical and diesel (preferred).
- Forklift experience a plus.
- Must be a US citizen.
