Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Revenue Data Entry Specialist to support revenue tracking and utility consolidated billing processes. The role involves entering data into standardized Excel workbooks, collecting and organizing supporting reports, maintaining accurate records, and performing structured data validation checks. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with recurring reporting cycles, following established SOPs, maintaining file integrity, and escalating discrepancies promptly.

Key Responsibilities

- Enter revenue-related data into designated Excel workbooks using established templates and instructions while preserving formulas, links, formatting, and naming conventions.
- Collect utility consolidated billing documents, including payment reports, credit reports, and other supporting reports required for tie-outs and compliance documentation.
- Organize and store reports in centralized repositories such as SharePoint and OneDrive, following defined folder structures, naming standards, and retention requirements.
- Ensure source reports are complete, stored in the correct locations, and accessible to internal reviewers.
- Compare original utility, payment, and credit reports against internal systems and workbooks to identify missing values, discrepancies, and formatting errors.
- Perform data validation checks, including field completeness, date and currency formatting, identifier accuracy, and cross-file checks according to written instructions.
- Document discrepancies with clear supporting evidence, such as screenshots, row references, report page numbers, and timestamps.
- Maintain trackers for report receipt, processing status, exceptions, and completion dates.
- Follow established SOPs, validation checklists, and documentation requirements to ensure accurate and consistent data processing.
- Communicate progress updates and promptly escalate missing or delayed reports, portal download issues, corrupted files, incomplete datasets, and unclear templates.
- Handle sensitive revenue and customer-related information professionally and maintain data confidentiality.

Requirements

- Proven experience in high-volume data entry, preferably involving financial, billing, revenue-related, or similar datasets.
- Exceptional attention to detail, with a strong focus on data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including sorting, filtering, tables, basic formulas (SUM, IF, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP), text-to-columns, formatting, and data standardization.
- Experience with structured data transformations, including column mapping, de-duplication, and standardizing formats.
- Ability to work with standardized workbook templates while preserving formulas, links, and references.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage recurring reporting cycles and multiple workstreams simultaneously.
- Ability to follow detailed written SOPs and validation checklists with minimal deviation.
- Strong documentation skills, including maintaining trackers, processing notes, and audit-friendly records.
- Ability to compare source documents with system outputs, identify discrepancies, and document findings without performing financial analysis.
- Sound judgment in identifying exceptions and escalating issues appropriately.
- Basic understanding of data confidentiality and the professional handling of sensitive information.
- Reliable, consistent, and deadline-oriented, with the ability to meet recurring weekly and monthly reporting requirements.
