Maintenance Specialist
La Quinta by Wyndham Valdosta – Valdosta, GA
Pay: $16.00–$18.00 per hour, based on experience
Williams Hotel Group is seeking a dependable and hands-on Maintenance Specialist to join the team at La Quinta by Wyndham Valdosta. This position is responsible for maintaining guest rooms, common areas, equipment, and building systems to ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for our guests and employees.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs throughout the hotel and guest rooms.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and guest room issues.
- Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, appliances, and other hotel equipment.
- Inspect guest rooms and common areas to identify maintenance needs.
- Repair or replace fixtures, furniture, doors, locks, lighting, and other hotel components as needed.
- Assist with basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general building repairs.
- Maintain the hotels exterior areas and assist with grounds maintenance when needed.
- Keep accurate records of completed maintenance work.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized maintenance area.
- Follow all company safety procedures and report safety hazards immediately.
- Assist with emergency maintenance situations and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous hotel maintenance or general maintenance experience preferred.
- Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general building repairs.
- Ability to troubleshoot problems and determine appropriate solutions.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple maintenance requests.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality work.
- Dependable, punctual, and professional.
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests, coworkers, and management.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment and supplies as required.
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays when needed.
