Role details

• Location: Hybrid - Montreal or Toronto, Canada (2 days per week in the office)
• Contract: Permanent, full-time

What you'll architect

As an AI Business Value Advisor, you'll help organizations identify where AI can create meaningful business value and translate opportunities into clear transformation priorities.

You'll work directly with clients to understand their business challenges to translate operational complexity into concrete deliverables such as a use-case portfolio, value case, process redesign, adoption roadmap, and KPI model.

Your focus is connecting business needs with AI capabilities, ensuring initiatives are aligned with organizational priorities, measurable outcomes, and long-term value.

Your responsibilities

• Lead business and operational discovery sessions with clients to understand strategic priorities, operational challenges, and opportunities for AI adoption.
• Identify, evaluate, and prioritize AI use cases based on business impact, feasibility, and organizational readiness.
• Develop business cases, value assessments, KPIs, and ROI models to support AI investment decisions.
• Analyze business processes and recommend improvements enabled by AI, automation, and intelligent workflows.
• Define AI adoption roadmaps, implementation priorities, and measurable success criteria.
• Collaborate with AI Engineers, Architects, and technical teams to translate business requirements into actionable initiatives.
• Advise business leaders and stakeholders throughout AI transformation initiatives, tracking value realization and supporting adoption.

Who you are

You are a senior business-focused consultant who enjoys solving complex organizational challenges and helping clients identify opportunities for transformation. You understand how AI can improve business processes, decision-making, and operational performance. You are comfortable leading discovery sessions, working with senior stakeholders, and translating business needs into practical recommendations. You combine analytical thinking, strong communication, and strategic advisory skills with a focus on measurable business value.

What you bring

Experience

• Strong experience, 7 years + in business consulting, digital transformation, business analysis, or strategic advisory roles.
• Experience identifying and prioritizing business opportunities for AI, automation, or digital initiatives.
• Experience developing business cases, value assessments, KPIs, and ROI models.
• Ability to analyze business processes and translate organizational challenges into improvement opportunities.
• Experience facilitating workshops and advising clients or senior business stakeholders.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to explain complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.

Technical skills

• Practical understanding of GenAI, agents, RAG, automation, analytics, and modern enterprise AI capabilities sufficient to identify credible opportunities and collaborate effectively with technical specialists.
• Knowledge of business process analysis, process optimization, and transformation methodologies.
• Experience with business value assessment, financial modeling, ROI analysis, and KPI development.
• Ability to assess AI use cases based on business impact, feasibility, risk, and implementation complexity.
• Familiarity with AI adoption strategies, change management, and organizational readiness.
• Understanding of enterprise data, analytics, and technology environments to collaborate effectively with technical teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI operating-model or Human in Command design, including defining where decisions should remain human, be supported by intelligence, or be automated within agreed boundaries.
• Experience with value-realization or benefits-management frameworks.
• Experience in regulated or operationally complex environments.
• Experience working with enterprise data, analytics, automation, or technology programs before the current generation of AI capabilities.
• Experience creating reusable industry use-case libraries, KPI frameworks, operating patterns, or consulting methodologies.
• Experience mentoring consultants or leading complex advisory workstreams.

The expected base compensation for this position ranges from $120,000 CAD to $150,000 CAD, depending on experience, skills, location, and internal equity. This salary range is provided as a guideline and may be adjusted for the selected candidate.
