NCR Voyix has developed an exciting new Kubernetes platform for retailers – NCR Voyix Edge.
NCR Voyix Edge accelerates rollout of new application features and maximizes the performance of our customers store infrastructure. Purpose built for the retail edge, our unique software enables applications to run where they are most efficient with centralized application and infrastructure lifecycle management for better manageability, observability, cost and control.
We’re looking for a Technical Lead with a passion for Kubernetes, Linux, and cloud-native technologies to help our enterprise retail customers deploy and scale applications at the Edge.
You will be leading projects to deploy the NCR Voyix Edge solution into our customers environments. You will become a subject matter expert on Edge – leading projects and advising our customers and internal teams on the Edge product, and how to implement.
Knowledge, Skills and Experienc e
- Minimum 5 years experience being the Technical lead in complex technology implementations
- Minimum of 2 years experience deploying containerized workloads and microservice architectures on Docker and/or Kubernetes
- Experience and excellent grasp of cloud solutions using one or more of major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and best practices
- Experience with the application development lifecycle and best practices involving source code management, application build, test and deployment
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code experience using tools such as Terraform, Ansible and Helm Charts
- Experience with scripting/configuration-as-code experience such as Python, Ansible, Groovy, Bash and/or Powershell
- Excellent understanding of core internet and networking technologies – routing/switching, DNS, DHCP, firewalls
- Strong ability to provide thought-through, clearly articulated, pragmatic solutions and recommendations to complex business problems
- Ability to collaborate and influence across both technical and non-technical stakeholders, resources, and teams
- Excellent technical communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex/technical issues to non-technical audiences
Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading multiple projects to deploy NCR Voyix Edge at our customers
- Becoming a technical expert in the NCR Voyix Edge solution
- Creating and maintaining project plans
- Creating and maintaining task lists for the wider team
- Assisting our customers with integrating and deploying the NCR Voyix Edge solution in our customers environments, both remotely and on-site.
- Providing guidance and familiarisation to our customers and internal teams deploying and using our solution.
- Working with our customers to deploy their applications onto the NCR Voyix Edge solution
- Troubleshooting of issues and providing solutions to complex scenarios
- Building and maintaining lab environments.
- Building and supporting Proof of Concept environments to assist in the sales process
- Working closely with the Edge Engineering team in identifying defects and product improvements
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of our products, technologies and our competitors.
- Providing technical support to our Sales engineering team in relation to product architecture and during the implementation of Proof of Concepts for new opportunities.
In fulfilling these responsibilities, you’ll work closely with the existing Professional Services team as you build and then apply your knowledge of our product to our customers.

The right person for this critical role will need to adopt a flexible approach and be extremely well organised in order to be able to prioritise personal workload given the different demands for their time.
You’ll need strong analytical skills, have excellent problem-solving ability when under pressure and have an attention to detail.
Given the breadth and complexity of our software product, you need to be the kind of person who enjoys learning new technologies and is willing to take on a variety of technical challenges.
You’ll also need to be willing to provide occasional out-of-hours support when needed for the projects you are working on.
