Duties & Responsibilities
:
- Working with lawyers and PGs' secretaries in preparing legal documentation relating to real estate and conveyancing matters including statutory forms and documents for signing.
- Assist the lawyers or PG secretaries in managing (including monitoring status and follow ups) identified real estate transactions/ loans/financing/tenancies portfolios.
- Assist the lawyers in preparing draft letters and email correspondences to be sent to the government departments and where appropriate, clients and counter-parties.
- Assist the lawyers in liaisons with clients and counter-parties for documents, information and status of the real estate and conveyancing matters.
- Scheduling appointments for signing of documents.
- Liaising with the land offices, government departments and where appropriate, clients and counter-parties.
- Attending to adjudication and stamping of agreements, forms, instruments and deeds;
- Attending to filing and service of deeds of power of attorney at the high court .
- Attending to the filling of tax return forms for real estate and conveyancing matters.
- Assist Lawyers to prepare status reports (including chronology of events).
- Attending conflicts check, clients detail entry, record management, and attend to clients enquiries.
- Maintains all files as keeper of files and records.
- Working to Firm policies and compliance standards.
- Other responsibilities that may be assigned.
Qualifications
:
- Minimum 3 years' experience working in a legal firm working in the same or similar position.
- Conversant in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Good and knowledgeable in Microsoft Office and Excel.
- Candidates with conveyancing clerical experience would be an added advantage.
- Trustworthy; with high enthusiasm and energy for work.
- Able to work under pressure; to work independently as well as in a team and able to meet deadlines.
- Applicants should be Malaysian citizens or hold relevant residence status.
